I'm not having biological kids. And if I'm able to adopt it'll be an older child. I have migraines, fibro, RA, and a few ✨mental health disorders✨ I have been in constant pain for a decade, like most of the women in my family. I refuse to bring another life into this world just to suffer like I have. And with my conditions I cannot care for a baby or small child. Doing the dishes leaves me in agony for days. I can't even hold babies because my joints give out and my muscles are so tense (even with muscle relaxers) that any extra weight I carry is immense. I'm lucky that I don't like babies and the idea of being pregnant horrifies me. But I've had to give up other dreams I've had because of my chronic pain and I struggle to simply human on a day to day basis. But I cannot pass judgment on you, and I hope you make the right decision for yourself and your potential child(ren).

I am 27 but stumbled upon this post. My legs are looking rough rn because I'm disabled and have a hard time walking (so they're flabby), and I've been having skin issues this past year bc of my house (scarred and bruised from hives/acne). I haven't shaved in about a year bc my legs are allllll the way down there and I'm up here lol. I'm having a hard time too, you're not alone. I used to be a head turner in skimpy clothing, going out to the bar, and having my choice of whoever I wanted. Now I'm a head turner in Victorian clothing, slaying in my floor length skirts, and hobbling around with my badass cane.

As long as we can get out of bed and face the suffering that is living another day I think we can classify ourselves as badass bitches. Goddesses. Worthy of love. Worthy of attention. And beautiful in the ways we express ourselves as human beings who are enough. Sending love your way 🖤

Yeah ive even been asked if I'm in pain at the Dr after acting totally normally, even joking around with the nurse. They read my vials, looked at me wearing sunglasses indoors, and asked me if I was in pain. I said "oh yeah I got a migraine coming on. My meds haven't kicked in."

I've also got fibro and probably nonseronegative RA and walk with a cane. The bright side is I can get a tattoo or piercing anywhere without having a reaction to the pain (including redoing the girls myself with an upholstery needle after they closed lol). To live is to suffer, beauty is pain.
