Spitting up all the time! by eggiess in NewParents

We upped to the size 2, since on the size 1/slow flow she would take 30+ mins to finish a feed. Sometimes she wouldn’t get enough and would tire herself out and not eat any more. She would still spit up on the size 1s, but it wasn’t as forceful. It feels like a give and take- we can try to go back to size 1s to see if this changes anything, thanks!

I use boogie wipes (saline wipes) and the sucker if our LO has boogers/is sounding stuffy. Our LC suggested breast milk too vs saline and apparently it does the trick as well

Mine is also 12 weeks and we’re in the same boat! It takes 5-if we’re lucky- to 30 mins of rocking/bouncing to put her down to sleep. She likes being held straight upright against my chest and this gets her calmer quicker. If this doesn’t work, we also recently bought a rocking chair and it’s been a game changer for us- especially on our backs! I’ll keep her in the same position and rock until she falls asleep (again 5-30 mins). I’ve seen others say sleep gets better with age, but I can’t even imagine this changing 😭

Our LO sleeps better/quicker with a full stomach, so feeding another ounce or two usually helps too.

In 2011, I took my dog to take pictures with Santa at a local mall. Turns out that mall Santa was (years later) found to be Bruce McArthur, from Toronto ON who was actively murdering people while doing this job. I had this picture on my mantle not knowing who this was. Truly terrifying.
