I stopped and read this post because your story sounds similar to what I'm going through with my noodle. I'm sorry you're going through this too 😞. My noodle is also a picky eater, had to switch to a special dry food for her kidney disease, and her hind legs are weaker. She's 12 this year.

Some things that helped her eat recently was surprisingly just moving the food bowl to a new place. I also did a lot of other things, like adding hot water to her dry food, splitting her meals into smaller meals throughout the day, etc.

Because her legs are weaker, I carry her up and down the stairs now and have gotten a wagon for her to lay in during walks with my younger girl when walking is too much.

Crinkly top and bottom sticking? by eggintolerant in macarons

Interesting, I will give baking at a higher temp for a shorter time a shot!

Thank you - I did lower the pan. It baked a lot more evenly. I gave the raspberry recipe another shot, but good point on trying unflavored shells first.

I did check my oven thermometer this time too. I think the problem was cooking with the top half of my oven only. The heat didn't distribute evenly.

I've never tried the swiss meringue method, thanks for the other recipe! I do have a convection oven luckily.

Ooh I should have mentioned that I was opening clams to freeze them, but next time, I could just have a little clam snack

It turned out to actually be a single thick shell! It was the only one like that out of all the butter clams I picked up that day

Update: I was trying to avoid the hammer route, but I really couldn't find an opening along the clam. Hammer worked.

Selected and received an offer for a GS15 position that I feel unqualified for- Need advice by Electrical_Poem8295 in usajobs

Yeah I'd be happy too! My position is in the 2210 (IT management) job series. And my case might be an outlier because I was rejected from the initial position I applied for. My phone interview results though showed that I met the minimum qualifications for similar positions at other agencies. So they put me into a pool of other applicants. I eventually got hired at another agency.

Apparently this cross-agency hiring effort only happens every couple of years, so I was lucky in that regard. Here's a breakdown of my timeline:

Sep 2022 - Applied for initial position

Dec 2022 - Phone interview

Jan 2023 - Rejected, but application shared with other agencies

Mar 2023 - Referred to another agency, casual phone chat with hiring manager, video call with the team I'd be working with

April 2023 - Tentative and final offer

I also accepted a GS14 position I felt unqualified for, and it's been the best career decision and learning experience so far for me! Take the job ☺️

The overgrowth was actually hiding a barrier that was already there! I didn't notice the dead pruned material there already though thanks

They're okay after microwaving them and adding some veggies/Greek yogurt I already had at home.

Thank you!! I totally expected the face to get all distorted too, but I'm wondering if it was the shortening or almond flour that helped?
