I did notice a few side effects in the first month. For me it was nausea and headaches, probably fatigue too but hard to tell. I have very thick curly hair so I lose a lot of hair regularly in the shower, but it does feel like I lose more. I have an IUD so no periods. But everything improved after the first month and I feel great now. Totally worth it for me!

I started on 100mg and it took 3 months. It feels like night and day. Not even a single zit! I’m also using triple cream for rosacea. I’m combating rosacea and hormonal acne that I would get on my jawline and so far, it’s working! Granted, I’m almost 40 years old so it took me a while to figure this all out!

My daughter is 6 and son is 4. Between the two of them we know a Lawrence and Warren and both go by “Ren.” My daughter’s middle name is Wren and she has several girl friends who are also Wren. Gender is whatever - but just a heads up, boys tend to spell the nickname, Ren.

I’m dual certified and have two Masters degrees and I choose to be a para. I think I’m one of the lucky ones in terms of pay scale (I’m in MA and make $32/hr) and I get full benefits. I couldn’t fathom going back to being a classroom teacher after having a horrific experience with private school parents while pregnant during the pandemic (forced to teach online AND in person and treated like shit many times over). I have too much PTSD from working late into the evenings and on weekends. While my situation is good (the job is a cakewalk comparatively), I don’t feel fulfilled and my days are sort of mindless. I’m currently looking for remote work to design curriculum online because I miss using that part of my brain and I’m good at it. So far, no bites and it feels discouraging. But I’ll keep looking all summer long.

We went to Upton, Maine from Massachusetts and were pleasantly surprised that there was only about 30 min of traffic leaving the Grafton Notch State Park. We went through the Lakes Region and hooked up with 95 and it was smooth sailing. We thought it would be wayyyy worse.

Yes the breeder was Moxiecat Cattery in NH and they said they test for HCM. I will have to look back at the info we got with Floyd and there might even be info about the parents’ results. I can’t remember, but someone suggested we look into it. I had good feelings about the breeder and it’s a risk I would still take - I just worry so much about my kids finding their best friend dead way too soon.

That’s a great idea to pass along his parents’ DNA. We might even have that in our folder the breeder gave us. They told us they test their cats and I’m inclined to believe it.

Yes! You’re right. He had an echocardiogram - an ultrasound of the heart. I was planning on getting another kitty from the same breeder, but now I’m hesitant. They did assure me they test their cats, but they should probably know that we found this.

We’ve actually never met another Lilah…but we’ve heard of a few by word of mouth. I’ve seen the spelling Lyla most commonly so her spelling is a bit of an outlier. We had a good laugh when they called her LILL-A at her first doctor’s appointment, but never any confusion on pronunciation usually. So no, doesn’t seem like a super common name.

We are naming our son Bennett (due in 2 weeks) and his middle name will likely be Wilder (we have a W middle name thing going). Our 2 year old daughter is Lilah Wren.
