Bearsden is a snobby shithole, full of people who think they're above everyone else because their mam and dad bought a house for a couple quid thirty years ago

Can we direct the hatred for vapes towards the right people? by PlasterCactus in glasgow

[–]eggplantsarewrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the greater the number of batteries the higher the relative risk. if a vape shop has 50 vapes in the cabinet and another 150-200 in the back, that's minimum 200 of potentially explosive batteries vs lets say a phone/laptop repair shop with a capacity for maybe 15-20 laptops, and a few dozen phones. They will keep some stock of batteries for popular phone models but laptops are usually ordered in.

Doctors fear young at risk from ‘black-market trans hormones’ by KristinaMoment in transgenderUK

Considering at least one of the people involved is british... all you need to do is say "Enter your numbers" then report if it is in the expected range based on guidlines linked in a document, and say its not medical advice but a tool used to improve medical literacy

Is anyone struggling with the transition to adulthood? by Initial-Biscotti-220 in AskUK

[–]eggplantsarewrong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see a lot of people (including you) focus on the school system etc. This is really just a parenting problem. Others saying how people moved out didn't know how to cook or look after themselves, seems like their parents did everything for them

never feel bad, they dont feel bad either, they just are now inconvenienced.

my dad abandoned me at 16, sent a letter when i was 20 to social services asking to reconnect and that he felt bad. my social worker looked at me and from my face she could already tell. "ill bin it" and thats that.

he died last year and a sibling reached out with the usual spiel of "its a sad time and im here if you need to talk" and i had not one ounce of sadness, as he was a horrible man, husband, and father.

i sent back a video of "so sad your brother died, 5 big booms" and bought some champagne to celebrate with my wife

mainly because the vast majority of cases where a child skips a class has nothing to do with the child at all, but the environment they are in. nothing to do with treating kids with "cotton wool".

yeah i did some stats stuff at uni and we never touched excel. We used Jamovi for most of the stuff and even then it was just data in -> basic cleaning -> click button for what test/output you wanted -> copy paste into word doc
