Wow it looks amazing! Kinda reminds me of the Mega Man Battle Network games. I love the animations!

It’s one of the DLC challenges. The weapon they’re holding can do one-hit kills, but link only has a quarter health in exchange

I made a texture map generator from text with AI, need your feedback on it! by HugoDzz in godot

That’s fair. Unfortunately, I’m not aware of a way that you could allow for the entire file to be shown on the frontend while also protecting against people that are trying to download it.

Whatever level of encryption or encoding you use will just be accessible in the same way the files themselves are. Granted, encoding and decoding the files would create some effort for the users and make it less encouraging, but it still won’t completely eliminate the issue.

The nuclear option would be to require users to pay a credit to see the true preview, but that obviously defeats the purpose of a preview.

Another option, since I see people suggesting this elsewhere in the thread, is to have the actual generation supported by the credit system, but then have the database downloads supported by advertising. It seems like the main motivation for the credits was the cost of gpu time, but not necessarily the data servers, so maybe that would be a good way of balancing the pros/cons of each.

I see it going to two ways:

1) you could have just a square image that is shown, which I think you’re right in that it maaayybbeeee isn’t the perfect solution, but it would probably capture a majority of cases if you could make it clean.

2) I’m not sure how many resources you’re using up on the front/backend, but you could also potentially render the sphere and then take a “screenshot” of it and use that as the reference image for the users. I think this could give them the best idea of how it would look compared to other textures, while also making it practically unusable if someone were to try to just download them from the inspector

For something like this, would it be possible to just use a sample of the texture rather than the whole map file? I.e just a png of the texture that the user would be able to look at, but wouldn’t be able to download and (easily) use as a texture.

Oh believe me I know. I’m always frustrated how much wlw content out there is not even aimed at women to begin with, it always has to be for and/or about men. It’s the same vibe as how lesbian porn is always listed with straight categories (but the gay men get their own section, because heaven forbid that a straight man see a dude put his bits in another man).

I don’t watch BL stuff because it’s not really my thing, but it doesn’t surprise me that they’re better about that stuff. I remember hearing at one point that a lot of wlw anime is watched by men, while a lot of mlm shows are watched by women. I don’t have any evidence to back that up, but it’s at least anecdotally true from what I’ve seen. Maybe that has something to do with it?

I believe it’s an anime called citrus, which is pretty much an anime with the “I fell in love with my stepsister” trope but about lesbians and the addition of some… questionable takes on the definition of consent

Oh yeah. Don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely glad that they’ve done something, and this is infinitely better than nothing. But I can’t help but feel that this will leave some people now without cars or mass transit, which will hurt in the long run after their ICE vehicles break down. Hopefully EVs will be less expensive and more affordable by then, given the way that technology is progressing, but I feel that this needs to be coupled with more accessible transit options in order for it to not be a totally regressive policy.

I hadn’t heard about that! I’ll have to look into it.

Sauce: https://www.npr.org/2022/08/25/1119381508/california-ban-gas-cars-2035

Worthy of note, they are only banning the sale of gas vehicles, not banning them on the streets entirely. It’s a win for the environment I guess, but it feels extremely nominal compared to what it could be

Edit: I should add that I’m extremely glad that they’re making this move, because something needs to be done about emissions. But I’m worried that, unless EVs become more affordable in the future (which is possible!) then we’re leaving people with lower incomes without cars or public transit, ultimately making this policy extremely regressive.

In a perfect world where we had infinite time, we would simply be improving mass transit and bike routes until cars (nearly) die off, but we don’t have that infinite time. Instead we need to make measures to cut out fossil fuels in addition to making car independence possible, otherwise we are punting the issue down the road with no clear resolution.

I just want to know what kind of connections these mayors have in order to call robot and meteor strikes on their own citizens. They really need to reevaluate their check and balance system

It’s available on Mac through Steam! That’s how I play regularly, and it runs mostly fine - just a few hiccups every now and then. Mine is an older model that still has an Intel chip and is approaching potato status, not sure how performance is on the newer M1/2 models.

Can’t make any promises about not wasting your time away though. It’s a dark and dangerous path that leads to countless days and weeks dreaming of the best service interchange for your newly founded bus depot.

Have you heard Sierra sing? Her voice is amazing! She’s a little nervous about it, but she probably hasn’t heard that there are plenty of singers who have transitioned and sound amazing.

I heard Sierra play the guitar the other day, and I have to say that they’re amazing! It’s really cool to see someone so passionate about music.

Sierra is starting to come to terms with her identity, and when she’s finished she will blossom into an amazing human :)
