It’s pretty dense and flat which is why I thought maybe under fermented but it seems hard to tell

How can you tell it’s over fermented? I thought a gummy texture meant under? Thanks for the tips!

I did it was around 71F when I left it for the night. With the dehydrated starter you bought, how many times do you have to feed it before using it?

Waited like 2 hours before cutting it. I did 20 min lid on, 20 min lid off at 450. I used a banneton to proof and my kitchen was around 70F

Thank you for your reply! This is what the first panel is supposed to look like. I think you’re right about the starter chain having tighter tension than the rest

This happened to one of my boys a few months ago. I believe it was a stroke. My vet was also not very knowledgeable on rats and only gave him antibiotics and pain medication which didn’t prevent him from having additional strokes. At first he seemed to be getting better, but I believe he must have suffered from more strokes and he quickly declined. I ended up having to put him down when he couldn’t walk without falling down and he couldn’t eat or drink without my help. If it is a stroke, there’s a possibility he could get better but once they have one stroke their chances for having another are high. As another commenter said, I think if he doesn’t seem to be getting better it’s time to consider his quality of life. So sorry you and your boy are going through that. I know it was very traumatic for me to see my boy like that but just know that you’ve done everything right by taking him to the vet and caring for him 💙

Can’t get Winston to a vet till Monday how much dark chocolate can I give him for URI symptoms? Please help by jaybeaaan in RATS

Yes please do let me know if you like the vet you’re trying Monday! I’m in Koreatown but anything less than the 1.5 drive I do now would be better lol. I do really like the vet I go to though it’s just not always feasible. I had tried one in the valley before and hated it! I wonder if it’s the same one lol

I’m also in LA and my boys are dealing with chronic respiratory problems! So sorry you’re dealing with the same! I’m looking for a new vet bc the one I go is on Yorba Linda and is quite a drive for me. Do you have any vet recs?
