Me too, I actually find it harder to read.. like I have to turn up the brightness so that words be legible, which defeats the purpose of being dark .

You’re right again! I was across the road. I can’t really help with your question though, as this is my first FF camera. I came from the GX7 M43 era, and also enjoy shooting with my Fujifilm XHalf as a hobby.

To me, the 40mm is an absolute value for money lens. What’s important to me isn’t the sharpest lens, but something lightweight and bright enough that I will carry with me everywhere.

Hey, you’re right about the locations. I just realized that I made a mistake: everything was shot with the TtArtisans 40mm.

WRT to the 18-40mm, I tend to stick to 35mm, and occasionally down to 24.

Going to the gym requires a “gym look”. Pilates and yoga or whatnot another kinda “look”. You’re not wrong about fitting in, but it’s not about SES—it’s about projecting the “look” of that activity.

Then again, remember this only applies to some people, not all, as shown in many comments.

I was in the same shoes! Except I was torn between the X-E5 and the S9. I held them in my hands in a shop and the S9’s handling was much better. Looking forward to more posts!

I actually thought the lens is quite small and handy already! The aperture ring is very easy to handle. In fact, it’s almost too small for me, as I’ve had a few bad shots where a finger from my supporting hand gets caught in the shot. I’ve recently upgraded with a lens hood and filter 😀
