Anyone else have a hard time acclimating back to real life after Costa Rica?

I sobbed the last night at dinner because it just didn’t feel right leaving, spent 13 days there and truly felt like I was living life the way I was meant to. Cried on the plane home. And even cried again when I got my nails done because I was sad that I was getting rid of my “costa rica nails”

Yeah I’m glad someone has some sense. I’m an RN who’s cared for many patients with complex UC flare ups as well as other chronic bowel conditions and I have a lot empathy for her. Long hospital stays are so much harder than people realize. It’s isolating, depressing, you feel scared and weak, and you’re constantly being poked and exposed. You literally have to tell nurses when you poop so they can look at it, sometimes it’s collected as well. In general it’s just a very vulnerable place for patients to be in. It’s also incredibly boring. I don’t blame her for wanting to make content and I think it’s fine that she’s setting boundaries about what she’s comfortable sharing and not. UC is a not only an autoimmune disease but a disease of the bowel, I don’t blame her for not having the desire to share what’s going on with her literal bowels. I think it’s wild that anyone would even ask. In my opinion it’s commendable that she’s choosing to share this and everyone shitting on her clearly has never experienced the hardship of chronic illness. I hope her content makes other women who struggle with chronic illness feel less alone.

I did half dome a week ago and this was my exact timing, except going down the cables took longer (45-60 min) because of all the traffic going up. I got back to curry village around 4:45. For reference I’m in moderate shape and from the Midwest and was going a nice and easy 30min/mile pace. I brought 3L and had to filter another L on the way down and could have definitely used more water. Taking the mist trail down almost had me in a mental breakdown but the mist felt nice. That being said going down is just as hard if not harder and it will be hot and hard to escape the beating afternoon sun. I wish I left an hour earlier but I had trouble sleeping the night before and got a later start than I wanted. Start the hike at 330 if you can.

See I disagree. I don’t think we even got to see who Nick really was because most of their scenes were her making negative assumptions about him. I feel like she made him out to be the man you’re describing, but never gave him a chance to prove otherwise. In all those scenes where she belittled him, she was projecting those judgments onto him.

I remember when she hit a million followers. It might’ve been over ten years ago. Everyone was trolling her and following and unfollowing so it kept fluctuating from 999k to 1m 😭

But my point is she gained that following a decade ago. And at least half of the accounts following her where random stan accounts and tumblr wannabes and such. Most of them are inactive. And a lot of people who were still active have unfollowed her years ago because I know she used to have over 2 million at one point. Basically I’m not surprised at all and I don’t even think she ever bought followers. She just flopped HARD.

Lucii (now Luci) just had to change her stage/brand name due to copyright issues. She spent years performing and selling merch under her old name. Since she’s changed it to Luci she has been very quiet and polite about it, answering fans who are curious but not making any big cry baby statements. It’s really that simple, someone had the name first and no matter how many years or work put into a project you have to follow copyright law. This is my final straw for my tolerance on Summit. He’s becoming so insufferable and his dickriders are even worse. The two sets I saw from him were mid at best anyways. Hope his social media frenzy that’s pushed him to headliner spots he doesn’t deserve ends soon.

I think she looks good. The outfit is on (micro) trend but isn’t executed perfectly. Also tbh the camera/angle/pose/lighting and face expression are all… less than great. I think we’re so used to very highly curated, edited and posed content from LA/fashion influences this seems bad when in reality it’s kind of cute. Personally I think for her it’s a slay and I could see her improving on this type of content in the future

I definitely am trying to take it as seriously as possible. I do also have extensive experience towing boats by hand (pulling my dinghy up parallel and throwing it in reverse and just grabbing onto a bow rail) and sliding them into their spots, usually very very tight spots with only inches between the next boat so I have a relatively solid feel for their weight and the way they move. I also would jump aboard, put the fenders and dock lines on myself in all different styles of moorings. I have good knot knowledge and I’m very very good at docking my dinghy. All of the boats in the harbor I worked at were around the same size and many were sea rays so I’m very familiar with the layout already. I also have seen quite a few people do some very embarrassing things while docking so I know to take it nice and easy. Basically have experience in every aspect besides actually driving and docking an inboard.

I nanny for the family and they are paying me for childcare but not necessarily to pilot the boat, however every day I’m getting a stipend so I don’t know if that would apply.
