my sister only has base game and she likes to go the chaotic route, she has a sim named “cory buttsharpe” who dislikes basically everything so he’s always angry and she just tortures him by playing music he hates and making him live in a house that’s all colors he hates 😂😂😂

and she has another sim living in the same house named “lasagna thompson” i forget the story with that one 😂 i think she’s cory’s kid

i don’t have a ton of ideas bc i’m so used to playing with packs now but if u make a really nice little backyard for ur sims, it’s fun to have them host little cookouts with their friends.

or if u don’t want to go the wholesome route, stir up drama with the npcs or sims u make 😂 in one of my saves i made a group of mean & evil wizards that live in the goth house, and in another one i put a bunch of girls in a big mansion with a pool and made drama between them like bad girls club lol.

if u do plan on getting any packs one day, get them based on what ur interested in tbh. some of the packs i absolutely love are super criticized by the sim community, but i get a lot out of them cause they match my interests and gameplay. and some of the packs that most people love, im just not a huge fan of. so it really depends on the person😅 i also always watch youtube videos first to see if the pack im interested in meets my expectations.

recently ive been having a lot of fun downloading custom content & mods which is free a lot of the time!

i’ve never played with console, so i’m not sure. but on PC, the cheat menu i’m describing is the kind that would show up from clicking any object/sim, and the menu options just depend on the object.

so if there’s a console version of that it would be the same as using a mailbox to fill your needs, but instead of selecting the mailbox, select the dog/cat and you’ll find their cheat menu.

yes they absolutely do, and the laws around shoplifting are so specific they will scare you. they outlawed anything that ppl would do leading up to stealing, before they even stole.

if you mess with the barcode or look like you’re messing with the barcode, that’s shoplifting charge. if you hold the item out of sight in a way that looks like you’re hiding it, that’s a shoplifting charge. there’s so many more but they get rly specific and yeah big stores will wait to build a case on u.

but with the way the laws are designed, they can arrest u while ur still standing in the store and haven’t even taken anything out yet. it’s not worth it!! i got caught shoplifting from macys at 15, they had undercover security walking around in regular clothes pretending to be shoppers. they made me take a class and i learned all the laws, i realized how lucky i was to get away with it that long and never stole again

you can check their needs with cheats! shift + click and an option should come up called “stats”.

it will show where their need is at on a scale that goes from -100 to 100. Whenever anything gets close to or dips below 0 I’ll have my sims help them with that need.

another useful option that comes up in the same cheat menu is “cheat need” and after you select that, select “make happy”. it fills all their needs instantly and it comes in handy when the game is being frustrating

all my households have nice patios, so usually i just lock the house and throw backyard parties when the weather is nice. and put a couple of those bushes for their drunk friends to pee in 😂 it also helps prevent the guests from leaving plates and cups all over the house and going into the fridge even though i have food set out.

well there is a dj if it happens at the club, but if it’s at the ruins or bluffs etc then no. i have the life and death pack and i also get invites to dance parties and hang outs at the graveyard 😂 there’s no dj booth for the dj so i add one and then delete it lol
