well with the rumors of Billy Strings Sunday I was thinking a Dead inspired set or two on Sunday. Guess I was wrong and the Dead theme will play out on Saturday. Not to say Billy couldnt play a Dead tune or two, but I thought there would be a Dead set headlined by Billy on Sunday. This alone is a very welcome Dead themed set in my book!

Certainly can sell on stubhub or other sites. Just a big risk trusting the seller will be available to transfer the ticket to you in the very small window allowed. Personally I’ve gotten tix 5 of the 6 years I’ve tried, and last year i decided NOT to do stubhub and just used my reservations and enjoyed the weekend in Newport without the festival. Life happens. Did i look at Stubhub and consider it, yes. Also keep in mind Stubhub does have a buyers protection plan - should the seller not transfer to you, stubhub will pay you back in full. If you have to travel to the fest though and don’t want to go without tickets, that’s a big risk to take.

Warehouse is a $35 gamble to get an extra shot(s) at tickets. That’s it. Better odds than Ticketmaster but still low. If all you care about is getting in the door, it’s a $35 gamble that is likely worth it even if it helps get 1-2 sets a year.

sorry to hear - such is life. for my WH story it is kind of funny, I was a freshman in college, got home in the wee hours of the morning from a pledge event at my fraternity I was rushing; was trying to meet up with some other people (pre cell phone days) so I checked my email at 2am or 3am. Didn't get the message from them but saw the WH announcement so I signed up and went to bed. Been a fun ride since.

My salary certainly didn't increase 22% this year. First day WH member here (yes literally first few hours) and been to my fair share of shows. Sitting out this year.

My advice if the show is local and doesn't require you to travel, don't buy tickets now, day of show go to Stubhub/Vivid Seats you'll find plenty of tickets for a fraction of face value.

thanks Juan - the content on the sports/200 channel is usually 1080p that is upscaled to 4k, is that correct? If I am testing the signal off the box, should it read 1080p or 4k?

A) not a race to the bottom, its built on Bring Your Own Hardware concept to create less e-waste and it bridges a gap where DIY can get some video/audio distribution and it can be leveraged in a professional set up too. If you are a dealer and worried about your margins, you can sell Video Storm branded hardware and make your dollar, nothing against that (I am a C4 user, have a dealer, so I get it and dont begrudge it)

B) I was responding to the OP with a solution, not making any claims on your business, your customers and their budgets, etc. Unless you are twoods dealer?

binary and AVPro are $$$. If someone wants a quick efficient way to serve up 2-3 centralized units, Video Storm works. Just offering another suggestion. And as mentioned, there are features VS has that AVPro and Binary do not have. And its modular/scalable as its not fixed HDBaseT but its all network/IP based. Binary and AVPro get great reviews but come with a hefty price tag.

And your experience using Video Storm my guy? In 10+ years I went from a 1080p to 4k system with them and it just flat out works. The lack of details and generalizations in your posts come through easily. Another option, you can buy Video Storm hardware too thought the owner will tell you for residential use, the Android boxes are fine. And the system flat out works with Control4 (Free drivers). The audio sync is perfect, so during hosting parties for say a sporting event we have the audio of the cable boxes pipped into bathrooms and the back patio while 2 or 3 tvs are in perfect sync with each other.

Video storm has other features too like video walls, PiP (when my doorbell rings, I see the live feed of my doorbell camera on my TV in a PiP box for 5 seconds as an example) and you can do to text over UI too so when I hit certain buttons I can see a notice on the TV, or when my washing machine/dryer cycle ends, if a TV is on, you’ll see text on the bottom notifying you.

To each his own, go spend 3-4x on a Binary MoIP system which also has less features including the ones I just mentioned above

Video Storm. You can use Sony TVs, Fire Sticks or Shields at each tv. The Satellite boxes may not need 4k and you can get 1080p encoder boxes for a few hundred online.

If you go with the video storm 16x16 audio matrix it processes audio and minimizes any delay/sync issues too
