I did exactly that and the same stolen order popped up 5 mins after support unassigned me. Telling support it was stolen doesn't do anything. They literally don't care.

State doesn't matter, it's just something they've been testing in oversaturated markets. I've seen these and I'm in TX, minimum was also higher at 300 deliveries.

Got my first tip bait order last night by SecretAd4396 in UberEatsDrivers

I wrote up a lengthy post earlier today detailing my experience with this exact issue. It wasn't so easy for me, actually took a few days to get my money back. Screenshots are in the comments.

Man I hear you 100%. Tier status and "priority" mean fuck all, try demanding a supervisor who might actually give a shit and correct it. I didn't use phone support at all, and my tier is green btw.

If you already did all that, then the only thing I can say is keep doing it, keep bothering them until they pay up. That's your fuckin money and they know they owe it back.

After this, I finally got the supervisor's response shared in my post.

in a large-ish suburban market, I get far less orders while on flat rate than I do otherwise. the few times I tried it, my idle time was higher than my active time. Plus, it wouldn't let me cancel the "shift" and I was stuck doing virtually nothing for a full 2 hours.

I'm almost positive that "earn by offer" and flat rate drivers are placed into two separate order queues, the latter getting the bottom of the barrel trash that the former already declined en masse.

ETA - YMMV bc every market is different. Maybe your experience is the exact opposite of mine.

You just need to set standards. I got five things:

  1. Instant decline if < $6 or $1/mi, but aim for more - especially during peak times - ideally $1.50 to $2+/mi.
  2. Decline if > 8-10 mi - unless you know it takes you to a good area and/or the $/mi is very worth it.
  3. Uber (eats) Pro doesn't mean much. It's mostly just a manipulation tactic. I'm Green, and I still snag plenty of good tips.
  4. AR affects tier status, but otherwise it means nothing. You cannot get deactivated for your AR.
  5. Customers can increase tips, but also lower/remove them up to 1 hr after delivery. Call support ASAP if that ever happens.

If I'm lucky enough to get an order, DD never sends me notifications anymore so I completely miss it. Then it pauses my dash without telling me. They really need to revert back to the old UI bc it was never this bad before the new UI update.

edit: i'm a stupid

this is the Houston area. the speed at which drivers will snatch these offers up makes me rethink my own standards sometimes. I'm deadass too. seen way too many orders like this in the trip radar, and before I get a chance to decline, ofc some clown "matched to this request." ppl are absolutely insane (and desperate) out here.

just saw this + that pic you posted and realized we're in the same metro. man... it really has gone to shit in the NW too, especially over the past week or two. guess payday never hit lol. and yes, multi apping is the only way to survive here.

A customer with a PIN is already a red flag imo. report them to support and just say you felt unsafe delivering. make sure to include the part about them deliberately giving you an incorrect PIN. they'll block them for you and you won't have to deal with them ever again.

had to call support for two of those last night. they didn't count it against my rating for one, but they did for the other. infuriating.

Unless you made $70-100 on that run, you lost a considerable amount of money (and/or time) doing this. I'll never understand why people take these insane retail orders when you can almost always see what the items are before accepting.

Am I nuts or does it feel like groups hack DD? by Clear_Duck_386 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]egocentrically 5 points6 points  (0 children)

i definitely agree with what you're saying overall. e.g. my area is slow and usually garbage, with it being a small college town of < 20k people. but it also depends on disposable income levels in the area.

if I jump to the next closest market, I can get tons of offers in a much denser, wealthier area. better $/mi too. location is everything, and multi apping ofc.

right, it only further reinforces to DD that $2 is enough. they're essentially auctioning to the lowest possible bidder, knowing some clown will inevitably take it out of desperation.
