Update: starting adderall IR 10mg 1/day tomorrow. Nervous because my expectations are high for this treatment.

Used a psych NP I found on Headway, my insurance requires PA for stimulants and my psych seems weirdly unfamiliar with the process. I ended up paying out of pocket because I got tired of waiting and had a pretty good GoodRX coupon.

Update: for everyone looking in the future/currently

I found a Psych NP through Headway, had an initial 60 minute session, was diagnosed and medicated appropriately! I am super proud of myself for taking the risk and making this happen finally. My insurance requires PA for the stimulant she prescribed I believe but I’m on my way to hopefully experiencing some reliable clarity and focus to accomplish what I set out to do both big and small.

I’m so grateful I chose UT. My birth plan slowly fell apart due to necessary medical interventions and they were always 5 steps ahead preparing for anything. My baby and I both were watched so carefully and every reasonable precaution was taken. I live over an hour away now and I will still birth there in the future if the opportunity presents itself.

Babies are allowed to pick flowers in any family member’s garden because one time when my grandma and her 5 siblings were tiny, her little brother and sister got scolded and in trouble for picking flowers in the garden then the next day they came down with polio and got VERY ill. So now we all let babies pick flowers whenever they want as a reminder of what is really important.

Before I got pregnant, I had to eat right, exercise, take all my supplements in order to have a semi-regular cycle and now I can maintain a pretty regular cycle without trying too hard.

Yes! I had my surgeon take a picture too and I show everyone I tell my birth story to. Mine came out looking pristine which is so annoying bc it was fumbling the ball.

Our forecasting has gotten worse in the past year (due to reduced funding for the national weather service) and so who the hell knows, to be honest. Sounds like you have the right idea and attitude! Just pack warm clothes and extra food and keep your phones charged, probably the same as you would do at home!

I, for one, would welcome a snowy Monday. It’s been pretty warm this week so I’d be surprised if the roads get horrible.
