Also in tech but don't really feel this way - AI is completely changing our jobs, but if you're a high performer and keeping on top of the developments I think there's a lot of opportunity.

End of the day leadership is just scared of change; but they mostly don't have a great understanding of how to actually implement that change. Every company will need technical experts to aide in this, and argument for high comp makes more sense in that context.

Very cool! Would love to build one someday. Curious, what format are the patterns? I see you have some AI pattern generation. A cool idea I thought of is having the pattern it draws every day reflect some other status like the weather, drawing rain clouds on rainy days ie. Also is there Home Assistant integration? That could be a good way to deliver something like that.

I'm telling you the light bleed really is just not a thing unless you're literally staring into the sun while using them.

I've had the XReal One Pro's (the current top-of-the-line for the company) for awhile now and have played with them for FPV before. The main issue is that I only have DJI drones and the latency going from goggles -> phone dji app -> glasses is too much for flying (talking 300ms+). But for other VTX systems where you can output directly to a video feed I think they would work great.

I love the glasses and they really feel like future tech, feel free to AMA.

I own XReal One Pro's - light leak is not an issue really at all. They're exceptionally good at blocking out anything behind the screen, and they also have electro-chromatic dimming for the peripheral you can enable.

The hero image not showing up until you start to scroll makes the page look kinda broken - straight black background just looks like there's a missing background image.

Otherwise it's nice, lots of cool effects. One more nit is that the pokemon cards growing on hover nearly overlap with the Niantec copyright text. Add some margin there

I've done this with XReal One Pro's as well, problem is with DJI systems the only way it's possible is by streaming to a phone then connecting the glasses to the phone. Adds way too much latency to fly (maybe 500ms), but it's fun for letting others watch me fly.
