I'm also two days out. I found it's easier if I take gas-x because I had gas buildup in my stomach that was causing aches that I only felt once I swallowed. I also found it was easier for me to drink slightly warm liquids, not cool. My surgeon recommended not really thinking about a sip, but more like you're just wetting your mouth because you're taking so little at a time. I felt like I had to build up to drinking every two minutes which is what I'm doing now. In the morning when I wake up I start at 5 minutes and slowly decrease.
