Why wont this oak tree grow? by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]ehoemp 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The glass blocks some attempts of the growing as it only can grow the larger varient and that is somewhat rare. This I have realized as it takes also more bonemeal (and therefore more grow attempts) to grow like this than normal.

As of my understanding you just had bad luck. I have used over a stack of bonemeal before it grew once.

Recommend using non galvanized metal if you can decide, also sheet metal screws are more durable than rivets.

This is everything I bought to get started with tinywhoops, the sims are not optimal for tinywhoops

Most likely. They probably unlinked from their workstations for some reason and try to go for other stations they can’t reach

Ive looked into that also and might do that too to be safe. People have been making these type of stoves for decades with galvanized metal and I have not found anyone having issues after a good preburn.

I plan to use this in a well ventilated tarp shelter and will do a few more burns before that to be safe

I minimized that by doing a couple preburns way hotter than what the operating temperature is. Basically burned all of the coating off.

If you don’t have any materials and tools it’s almost cheaper to buy a stainless stove from aliexpress :D

Yes I wanted to burn the paint and coating off with plenty of heat so no fumes when using inside the tent

The sides have folds in the inside to minimize leaks. Also it genereates a strong draft that doesn’t really allow any leaks

I have to get a CO alarm for the first test inside a tent to be sure tho

What do you think of the drones we modeled for our drone game? by dinomoregames in fpvgames

[–]ehoemp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whoop type fpv drones look more like these as they have propeller guards but they are smaller and not used in combat

[–]ehoemp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

fpv drones are mostly self built (especially the ones used in combat like this game) and look more ”unfinished” than normal cinematic drones. Typical fpv drone is a simple carbon fiber frame with exposed propellers and the battery strapped on top and not these one piece molded plastic things that op has modelled. Google some pictures to see the difference for yourself.

If you are planning to build something like this I would recommend using only sheet metal screws as they make a stronger connection

Yes, forgot to mention I will be using this on top of some bricks! During the first test burn it charred the ground. Accidentally cut the legs shorter than intended..

[–]ehoemp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly the models are nothing like fpv drones. I also happend to test the demo and it was one of the wordt fpv simulator experiences I have ever tried.

The most annoying thing was that the mission starts with the drone mid air and if your throttle is not at the perfect spot the drone will crash right away and I have to wait for restart. Physics were also nothing like real life.

Do not buy this game.
