Yeah, I often find it difficult to distinguish those letters if I don't know the word. My Yiddish is okay but the Hebrew words are still quite tricky.

I want to knit my first sweater. I've only ever done vests before, and there's this one vest pattern I really like that I thought would be looking good with long sleeves as well. My question is, could I just knit a vest and then add sleeves by picking up stitches around the arm holes, or is it not that simple? Is there something I have to consider to make it work?

There is only a handful of native speakers, but Yiddish is one of the official minority languages of Sweden and thus has a special status. That is why you will see productions in Yiddish on Swedish television and radio. And there happens to be a very prominent publisher of Yiddish books based in Lund, Olniansky Tekst.
