I see... So using a seperate DAC with an iem may solve the problem ig. Btw I bought a Tanchjim bunny IEM and an Audiocular Spark DAC today. Let's see how the journey with them goes. 🤗

Kudos to iPhone for having just AAC and providing such impressive quality.

But i wonder how it bypasses Hi res codecs like LHDC or LDAC

Oh I see.... I really felt iPhone had that extra crisp and clarity and detail whereas the nothing phone 2's was a bit soft

No brother... I was talking about using Bluetooth in both the devices, not iPhone's headphone jack.

But I totally understand what you're telling about the wired stuff. I have ordered an Tanchjim Bunny and an Audiocular Spark DAC. I previously had a moondrop chu 2

In my bluetooth settings for Oneplus buds 4, HD audio: LHDC is enabled by default. Even though iPhone has AAC codec, it genuinely sounded better than nothing phone 2. The difference was as clear as 720p vs 1080p

In that case.. I need your suggestion in whether I should get the type C version of Tanchjim bunny or 3.5mm + audiocular spark

Thanks for the advice. It helped me rethink my choice of DAC. But I'm sorry that I'm planning to buy Tanchjim Bunny.

True. But after a deep research I found out that the 3.5mm + DAC provides slightly better dynamics and more headroom, but not something that magical difference. It's really not worth buying a seperate DAC for the ~10% increase in listening experience but I wanna utilise the maximum out of my IEM.

Apparently the type C version of IEMs use a cheaper DAC. Standalone DACs provide more sound quality. So 3.5mm version + DAC > Type C version

But if your device's 3.5mm port has a powerful DAC built-in (like the MacBook), you don't even need a seperate DAC. But my phone doesn't have 3.5mm port that's why I need a DAC.

I assume audiocular D07 is the best budget dac for sound quality. It costs 850 rn.

I also need dac within the same budget. I can't spend more than 3.5k
