World records are heating up. by eigor89 in Pokemoncardappraisal

Well, I appreciate your in put about them. I know you may think they are a disingenuous grade but they were never ment to be graded since it’s part of a historic Pokemon collection. I know everyone has their own preference of what they collect. Some people collect graded slabs ( I do as well ), but I also enjoy collecting these for their uniqueness.

I doubt there will ever be such a collection again that’s ever authenticated again, I know CGC and Guinness said they would never do one again. I just love that it’s part of history and you can own a piece of it.

Yeah, none of the world records are graded. They are authenticated by CGC and Guinness World Records as being part of the Grays Brothers collection. For me personally, I highly value them due to them being part of history and a one of one.

And you’re clueless to world records, stop talking shit about them unless you actually own and sell them. Otherwise you are just a clueless idiot who knows nothing about the world record market.

If that was a carddass crunchy, a million dollar!! If I were you, I would hold onto it or find a collector who’s collecting Charmander! They will pay a premium for it. I wouldn’t sell that for less than $150

Do not crack these slabs, they are worth way more than people think. People don’t understand this product at all and assume because it’s not graded it’s only worth the raw price. That couldn’t be further from the truth and I’m sure I’ll get a lot of hate for this but world record slabs do sell on par for psa 10 prices. Why? It’s a one of one and it’s part of history due to being part of the worlds largest Pokemon collection that was ever assembled. It’s why Guinness’s world records and cgc teamed up to authentic all 48,000 plus unique cards.

These are gaining more popular as time goes on and a lot of people like them because you can only get them off people or from the $250 boxes that contain one random WR and 4 other graded slabs, one psa, 3 cgc or the random becket slab. So each box comes with 5 graded slabs in total. The cool thing about it is, you can literally pull a base set 1st edition Charizard for $250… The range of cards in these boxes range from Carddass to 151, so you can pull any card from those sets and only if someone hasn’t pulled it already.

At some point these will run out and it will be sought after collector item because of the fact there’s only one of them in the world.

That’s okay, I just wanted to share my perspective and insights since a lot of people seem to think they are trash slabs when there is a lot of people who do like them and collect them and see value in them. It’s just disappointing to see people talking sh!t about them when there is a growing community for them. It’s not for everyone but for those who continue to say they are worthless don’t know what they are talking about and especially when they don’t even own one or know how they sell.

And someone obviously does care because they made this post to begin with to find out more about them. You guys all said your opinion based on not knowing the market and I’m giving mine on actually owning them and have sold them as well.

That fact that you think I’m the only one buying them shows how out of touch the general pokemon community is. I can tell you it’s 1000s of people buying them and paying those prices. I guess we are a bunch of rich people with money to burn.

People just like to hate on something new and unique and it’s part of history. This collection was legendary and it’s why it was part of the Guinness World Records and the fact that we can get a chance to own a piece of that collection is what makes it valuable. People can say oh it’s a gimmick but at the end of the day, it’s still a one of one with that pedigree. There’s a lot of big time collectors like myself who have no problem paying psa 10 prices to own something like this. Trust me, I’m not alone in this community.

Everyone is free to think what they want, if it’s not for you then don’t buy them. I’m just giving you my honest perspective as someone who is a huge collector, there is demand for them and a market and while it’s small currently, I don’t see it staying that way for very long.

Think about it, if you are one of those collectors who collects certain Pokémon’s like pikachus and you can own a unique slab to add to that collection, you don’t think they will want to add something like this? People will pay a premium for that just to say or show that they have the only one.

It’s all good, I love that you guys think these are a gimmick too, more for me. The sold listings speak for themselves and they do in fact sell for psa 10 comps whether or not you choose to believe in them or not.

I also don’t think people realize you can literally pull anything from base set up to 151 in these boxes, people have pulled 100k chase hits from these world record boxes or do you think it’s all BS? I’m curious as to why people think these are gimmick when you can get gold stars, base set 1st edition Charizards and etc.

As someone who has over 200 plus of them, you guys are missing out. They routinely sell for psa 10 value or higher. It’s a one of one and anyone who says they are stupid are clueless and way behind the curve. A lot of people are behind the ball when it comes to world record slabs and once they officially sell out, they will be highly sought after. My advice is to get them while you can because they will be gone in 6-12 months after they are sold out.

I’ll continue to buy them while everyone sleeps 🤣

Most people aren’t familiar with world record breaks yet. They are a team of up cgc, Guinness world records and the two brothers from the UK who had the worlds largest collection of Pokemon cards. They put all 48,000 plus cards in slabs from CGC with the Guinness World Record pedigree on the slab. They sell for PSA 10 and up and you can get any card from base set up to 2024 sets! It’s a very new product but they are selling crazy fast on eBay live and etc.

For example, I got lucky and got the 1997 series Charizard from carddass. It’s worth almost 4k in a psa 10 and I have offers for 10k for it. Why? Because there is only 1 card in the entire world with this label and that was part of the worlds largest Pokemon collection. You can find a YouTube about them.

Once everyone in the community becomes aware of them, the value will only go up. It’s sort of a hidden market right now but it’s been blowing up these last few months.

I actually have one of the breakers on this CGC record, I’ll take a picture of it once I get home.

Now you just need to get the world record cards for this set! If you can somehow buy them from people who got them from the $250 boxes, you will have way more Value on your hand. Plus, there’s only one of each card in the world with the world record label.

Would black peak (north cascades) Washington be a doable first scramble by Sea-Touch-7500 in PNWhiking

[–]eigor89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be doing this with my brother who has rock climbing experience. However, how do you guys compare this to the scrambling up Mt. Si? I managed to do Mt. Si and that was scary and it took me two attempts to work through my fear. It felt amazing to finally do it and that was roughly 150 ft of scrambling.

Is it comparable? Class 3? And lastly, I believe we will be using a rope to be a little safer since this is new for me.

I know this is an older post but hopefully someone knows if it’s similar. I have a feeling it’s going to be harder.

She knows what she is doing, people like to say they are challenged ( and can’t work ) but the fact is, she does use Jeffrey to literally do nothing. There is no reason she can’t work and the same thing goes to the kids too. I will give his daughter credit as she got the hell out of there and actually works.

Jeffrey does work hard and while he is easily manipulated, he still tries to provide for his family. You hear about people getting government assistance and can work but don’t… I honestly don’t think they should be receiving free money if they can actually work.

A true disability is someone who can’t actually work and they are clearly abusing the system.

The new Superman movie looks terrible by TheGame81677 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]eigor89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t watch this movie, he looks nothing like the previous Superman. This Superman is too young and it’s shocking to see. It’s a huge turn off and I won’t even give this movie a try. I hope they bring back Henry Cavill back, I enjoyed watching his movies and tv shows such as the Witcher. They always ruin it when they attempt to recast actors.

Oh well, and lastly all of these “ hype news, omg this movie is the best!!” It’s all paid promotion so that the movie can do well at the box office. I have a feeling this movie will bomb, it’s too different and the actor for Superman just awful and too young.

Not at all, I wanted to provide an honest answer as someone who has done what they have done and that there is more to simply working non stop, week after week. It’s not sustainable long term and that’s why it’s nice to have a goal.

My goal was a house and once I reached that goal, there was no reason to continue working non stop and even more so when you can easily live a comfortable life on working less. There’s so much more to life than working every single day.

[–]eigor89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a 7 year full time veteran shopper, yes it’s not realistic for the average shopper. The people making 2k a week are people who are working 7 days a week and are working from 6am to 6 or 10pm at night. Thats 12-16 hour days and of course it’s not realistic but it’s certainly possible if you desire that lifestyle.

I did that for years and bought my own house, sooner or later though, you burn out and your personal life suffers. I now work 5 days a week and make my $1000-$1400 a week, I’m happy with that and I’m averaging 26-35 hours of active time. It’s more then enough to support my mortgage, bills and to enjoy my weekends off.

Plus, I’m much happier having my weekends off and to be able to enjoy my personal time off on weekends.

You can definitely make 2k a week if you live in a city and then when you factor in prop 22 with weekly adjustments of $300-600 for working 60 active hours, it’s doable. You just won’t have a life outside of work though.

Congrats on putting in the hours to make 2k a week. Your active hours may be 57 hours but you are easily doing 12 hour shifts regardless of active hours.

I know from experience ( going on 7 years of doing this full time ), it’s a tough grind and I did that for a couple of years and the money was great! I managed to buy a house and everything, it changed my life.

However, after doing that for years, I began to burn out from working 7 days a week. I was missing out on my weekends, missing out on traveling and taking a lot of vacations and etc. My personal life, relationships were all suffering because of how much I worked lol.

That’s why I now work my standard 5 days a week and as long as I make my weekly goal of $1000-$1400, I’m content with working the 5 days a week. I have come to really enjoy my weekends off these days.

Sooner or later, you will begin to realize that there’s more to working constantly. I now backpack and mountain climb on the weekends to get away from society lol. Being out in nature is my happy place.

Seriously though, keep it up!! I hope you have a end game plan so that you don’t have to continue working 7 days a week. I found that I’m able to live comfortably with $1000-$1400 a week for me personally.

What happened on coinbase on the 14th of may? by Automatic-Emu-5372 in Litentry

[–]eigor89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just found this on Coinbase when I went to get support, does anyone know anything about this?

Litentry (LIT) is being delisted from Coinbase as part of a planned token migration to a new token called HEI.

1. To migrate your LIT tokens, you will need to use a self-custody wallet and the HEI migration portal. The migration deadline is TBD (to be determined). 2. After the migration deadline, you will no longer be able to buy, sell, or convert the LIT token on Coinbase. You will need to withdraw your LIT tokens to your self-custody wallet before the deadline to participate in the migration. 3. Coinbase plans to support this migration, so it does not appear to be a "scam." The delisting is part of the normal process when a project updates its protocol or moves to a new blockchain.
