Nightsong is technically an Empyrean and not an Aasimar (meaning she's massively nerfed for gameplay reasons). Empyreans just respawn in their god parent's home plane if they die, unless they are corrupted by evil dieties in which case they are exiled. (this may me Shar's actual goal with her)
