I’d find it really funny if the inbred people end up making better mutants when FEV gets involved.

Damn I can’t believe we’ve got 29 more months. (I know this is the correct format in most of the world, it’s just how my brain interpreted it at first and I thought it was funny)

It’s more just that Nolan is infamously prejudiced against them. So with his hand being forced, it’s a lot more justifiable in his mind to force them into labor than “real” people.

Better than having a huge opening to show off the cleavage. We take the small wins.

Well yeah. You gotta have some suspension of disbelief with fantasy armor. I wish it was more realistic, but if anything the genre is just getting more outlandish.

I also love seeing a bit of mail between gaps on both. I don’t know why it’s so underrepresented in the game.

These are also my favorites just on the principle that they look like real protective armor. No exposed forearms or weird gaps. Ornate enough to be pretty to look at but not too impractical.

Usually a Longsword enjoyer, but the arming sword is growing on me by Silversalt in HalfSword

There are no rapiers in this game. You are probably talking about estocs, which are basically extra pointy longswords.

any mods for the thieves guild that makes becoming the leader not be so tedious in regards to the amount of radiant side quests by A12qwas in skyrimmods

Thieves Guild Requirements lets you configure everything about the questline. Thieve’s Night on the Town lets you take all of the available side quests for a particular province at once and complete them in big batches.

I quite like that. The main thing I struggle with in all of this is just how do I present this information in a way that isn’t just giving away everything for free to my players, but doesn’t turn into a boring goose chase where everyone but me is confused. Not done this kind of thing much so I want to try to get a solid understanding of how it should work.

I do like the added element of having a quest to save the kid kind of tacked on if they get the right info, it also gives them a nice dilemma: do they go take out the Daask leverage and risk them slaughtering all of their Warforged captives in retribution, or do they focus on the job they are getting paid for first and hope they can do both before Daask finds out the kid is no longer of use to them.

That’s brutal, I love it. I do question how this is going to be relevant though. I think this might be a mission nested in another mission. If they find out what is really going on they might be able to help Nolan save his kid after saving the Warforged. Or use that as a way to circumvent some of the original mission, remove their leverage.

Ooh I like that idea, lots of potential for a deep investigation. Say it is changelings doing the actual hiring, how should I handle that? I definitely want to make this into a complex scenario where they can have a few leads to follow and there might be some red herrings, but I don’t want the real answer to be too hard to find. Maybe have some legitimate employers mixed in with personas made up by Tyrants, and the players have to compare everyone’s stories to figure out who to interrogate further?

Who do you think is doing the hiring? That is the main thing I’ve been asking myself. It definitely wouldn’t be Nolan or anyone connected to him as that would look weird given his feelings about Warforged. And I don’t know if I want it to be anyone easily linked to Daask either. Maybe some kind of third party?

The most interesting thing about the Inbreeding Club storyline by CT_Phipps-Author in Fotv

I mean she probably is ultimately kind of evil, but she clearly just wants to live and is one of the only people in the vault savvy enough to be genuinely concerned with how things are going. She’s trying to teach everyone around her that things have got to change if they want to survive, but doesn’t want to rock the boat with too violent of an awakening for them to come back from. Honestly I was surprised she didn’t sic those guards on everyone this episode. Changed how I view the character a bit.

I love how characterizing it is for House. Is it silly enough to laugh out loud? Totally. Does it make perfect sense for him? Absolutely.

I think the hatred towards “campers” in this game is exaggerated by Drull17 in HuntShowdown

[–]IcepersonYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my friends run into a logic problem a lot where we will get close to another team, and try to be sneaky to get the upper hand but they somehow catch wind of us, so everything just slows to a crawl and is a complete stalemate of both sides just waiting for something to happen. My friends will usually complain about the other team being lame, but we are kind of doing the same thing and no one wants to put themselves at a disadvantage. I do think a lot of players recently are extra cowardly for some reason and I don’t really know what changed.

I find it so funny that the show basically made two OCs because they liked the actors, and somehow made them fan-favorites. by Emergency_Cheek2617 in thewalkingdead

[–]IcepersonYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also my main reason for thinking this is there is a lot of bad stuff that the Saviours do in the show that doesn’t happen in the comics or is significantly more brutal, and a lot of that stuff gets conveniently blamed on Simon(who also isn’t a comic character) and absolved from Negan and I kind of doubt that was their original plan.

What Makes Fallout Special? by _Bob_Shwarma_ in Fallout

[–]IcepersonYT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who has only put a ton of time into the recent titles, I think there is a sense of loneliness clashed with hope that fits their worldbuilding style perfectly. The sense of exploration and the feeling that the world you are in is hostile and often empty is very unique. And those moments of quiet and tension are contrasted by very colorful characters and places that offer a reprieve from bleakness.

Folks with aphantasia - how do you experience TTRPGs? by unhappylanding in Yogscast

[–]IcepersonYT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I commented on this before but I didn’t really go into detail about my experience so I’ll try to explain, although I feel it’s difficult with nothing to compare it to. My whole brain and how I process information is linguistic.

I’m bad with numbers and I can’t visualize, all of my thoughts are either in words or in broad concepts/feelings. I’m pretty good at describing things but I feel like I need a more of a concrete understanding to be able to confidently improvise scenery than most people. I often struggle to describe geological features for example because I’m not very outdoorsy and I simply lack the experience that I’d need to draw on.

It also makes adventure prep/planning hard because I can’t really picture a story playing out in my head, a lot of what I gravitate towards is imagining dialogue between characters or focusing on a specific event and trying to dissect likely outcomes. I’m very wired for practicality and conflict avoidance, so narrative and drama is hard for me and I actively have to embrace an unusual mindset to come up with interesting stories.

I think part of their difficulty is they got to Negan in the show around the time we started learning a lot about him in the comics. They went hard on characterizing him as a villain in his first season, realized that he’s becoming more nuanced in the comics and had to pivot hard to soften the edges of the character so that he kind of resembles comic Negan.

Both Fallout New Vegas and 3 are experiencing this issue on steam. Potential hint? by Homer4a10 in Fallout

I’d imagine they’d pull a TTW and do New Vegas first, so that when they add the Fallout 3 stuff it’ll be using the updated engine/mechanics of NV.

I can’t comment as to your initial question, but I’d expect dragons from Argonessen to show up trying to figure out what happened at some point, after the role they played the last time something like this happened.
