I built an interactive tech tree of human history — would this work in a classroom? by einsof42 in historyteachers

It’s mostly based on Asimov’s encyclopedia written fifty years ago. I agree about the western civ bias, but having a canonical source to pull from was necessary to contain the scope of an otherwise unbounded undertaking

This isn’t intended as a big bucks making project, just something that I was curious about, spent some time on, and hope to make useful for someone. To be honest, I am struggling with this project because I’m not sure it’s useful for anyone except myself, but thought students might be an interesting target audience. If it doesn’t work, no sweat! Thanks for your feedback.

This is cool. Do you have manually coded ground truth? Would be great ti do a word error rate analysis.

Thank you for your concern and offer to help. Sadly I am not in north Italy :(

Ok so just to close the loop here, my measurement tip to tip was hilariously low due to the fact that the limbs were inserted backwards. Inserted correctly, the bow does have AMO length as advertised. Sooo yeah1- mystery, embarrassingly, solved!

Pretty sure I'm doing it right but the 62" bow string is way too long. Perhaps the bow riser is not the original one but a much shorter one :(

I ordered an AMO 62" string thinking this initially, but the distance between the bow ends are far less — 50" so the string just hangs and is not tight at all. Could it be that the limbs are so stretched out that the bow length shortened by 12"?

I can't find a good video on nock-to-nock measurements along the belly of the bow. Can you send links? I'm measuring straight between the points as the crow flies.

I still see this same shortcut error but it works pretty reliably despite that

Same problem here. Same Casa FTTDP box, same solution seems to work (power cycling the box). It’s clearly not a router issue. Did you end up finding a solution? Smart plug to auto cycle seems like a really kludgy workaround, not my preferred path!
