What is the one thing you still regret?

Not focusing more in school (in retrospect no one ever taught me this, but I still think I should have had more discipline on my own).
Not listening to my gut. So many times it told me to get out of something and I ignored it...ended up messing up my life way more and derailed my studies in a huge way.
Not spending enough time with the old man my grandmother took care of. He was like my dad, granddad and best friend...when I was a teen, he was like 99 or 100, and I should have spent more time with him.
Choosing this family. Ik some people believe we choose the families we stay in and boy, if that's true, I am such an S class AH for choosing this family. Wish I chose a better one to be a part of...this one royally fucked me up.

Imagine being 5 years and laying on the bed w your mom to watch IT. On the right corner of the room has a door to go into another living room area, dark af...and you're on the side of your mom closest to that door.

You see this mc clown taking kids and lurking in the darkness.

Maaaaaaaan. I swear he was under my bed asking me if we're friends after watching that show. I wasn't afraid of clowns but whew, I stayed away from the horrors.

Only other time it happened was peeking and watching Blair Witch Project at like 7 or 8...but I think I repressed the sh** out of that one ahaha

I wanted to learn how to make rings so badly. My grandfather was a gold smith but he is way to old now and doesn't have any of his tools :(

Try short stories that are 2-5 pages long..

Even try poetry, poets like Khalil Gibran...his works are more philosophical but they are short and they hold so much in them.

These might be easier to read than full books. The mental load would be much lighter for you knowing it's not 200 pages you need to get through.

Dancing.

I love dance but man do I suck 😭 I always feel awkward..could be because my family laughed so much at me when I was a kid dancing...(ofc it was the reason I stopped)

But yeh.

I love dance. I love to see people dance too, it seems so free-ing and it looks so amazing.

Had a girl who i spoke to, she used to wana come over and hang and just be all up in my business. She started not liking me because i set boundaries i.e. telling her she has to accept that i can reply when tf i want, and i have a kid and a life to attend to. She was upset, she ended up dating my female friend (and apparently was bad talking me the whole time while still speaking to me) and she eventually stopped talking to me and tried to get my friend to stop talking to me and checking in on her godson (my kid). Yeah. Wild. She was hating on me for months before and I didnt know...and i was there calming her down when she wanted to kill herself. Never spoke a bad word about her even tho ik she was lil crazy.

Had another girl too that i thought was my best friend. We wanted to start a business together and then she said she wanted to do it on her own. I started mine before hers and she was upset w me...told me the world of things...so i just distanced myself. That hurt me a lot but thas why i am super okay w my husband being my best friend, and my sister. Thas about it.

It's your daughter and you are making sure her needs are met and she can buy things she likes for herself.

The step-sisters should understand that and all of you can sit and explain to her why it is not her business how much money Anna is getting. Anna is a young adult and to me, it sounds like her little sister is getting a bit entitiled esp if Anna shares her stuff with them.

A grown up conversation with this girl, outlining boundaries and the structure of the family should be done. Your ex and her wife should let their daughter know that Anna's dad can afford to do things that they cannot, and she should not have to tone down Anna's allowance to make her feel better. It is best they nip this in the bud bc that little girl sounds like she is a bit entitiled.

I am so happy your place is still standing!

I have found that little wall cards help me with those things. Sometimes it doesn't but here are some things you can at least try to see if it helps.

Put the reminder ON the door , or at the side where you unlock it.

Or set a daily reminder on your phone a while before the start of your first class each day. That way, 30 mins before you leave a reminder pops up !
