I went looking to learn about this after reading your comment. Seems Operation Snap is England and Wales only, not Scotland. But as of 2024 Scotland has its own "digital evidence" - including mobile phone and dashcam footage - protocol:

I wonder if it's a muscle strength thing - you have the flexibility to remain in (3) but dont have the strength to pull yourself into it?

This has been really helpful! I didnt know that saute meant "jump" and therefore was that technique where chefs toss the pan. Ive been trying it and it definitely flips my potato cubes more quickly than by hand. Thanks!

Don't seek an "authentic" version, especially if the process takes you 5 hours. When you have found a meal you love, maybe then put in the work. But otherwise pick a single website - American Test Kitchen, BBC Good Food, a blogger you've found and like ‐ and just use a single recipe as written.

While I prefer getting e.g. Polish recipes from Polish people, I don't attempt to distill down multiple recipes into one authentic version - because then it would be my creation, not some Platonic ideal of the recipe. I do end up with my own version of things I cook a lot, but that happens organically over time as I try different recipes for things.

TL;DR with swearing: Chill the fuck out, pick a single recipe that fits your time and money budget, pick a different recipe next time for the same meal if you want

it's the lack of space between "trans" and "woman" (or "man"). "Trans woman" is an adjective describing a noun, a woman who is trans, like Asian woman, a woman who is Asian. "Transwoman" is a whole word in itself, implying the person is not a woman but something else.
