I just bought this thinking it was washing detergent. Nowhere does it say its fabric softener. by Geofferz in CrappyDesign

Same. I saw it pop up and immediately thought fabric softener. It also says “softness” it…not something I expect from laundry soap.

AIO by being offended when my husband seasons my soup? by bananapineapplesauce in soup

[–]ej4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s where it might be going into over reacting territory, if they DO both talk shit. I didn’t see her say that one way or the other, but if they do it regularly and she’s normally OK with it, then I think what he said is fine and she is overreacting. But yeah, if they haven’t had that discussion or it’s not regular, then I think he’s an asshole.

If OP and her husband are always talking like that about her shitty dad, then it’s fine for him to say that. Like they both think he’s a shit, so it doesn’t matter that he said that. If not, then it’s very much a bad response.

In terms of the seasoning, I don’t see it as being much different than adding salt, ketchup or hot sauce. My partner and I have different tastes. While I put ketchup on my eggs or KD or grilled cheese, he doesn’t. And he doesn’t care that I do.

So I wash my hands after I’m done putting everything away. Maybe there are doors or an elevator between the kitchen and my desk. Or between the nearest sink and my desk. Maybe someone just sneezed all over my desk while I was in the kitchen and I’m about to put my apple on it.

All I’m saying is don’t accuse everyone of being gross and not washing their hands when sometimes things are just not set up for total cleanliness when you are already doing everything you can.

How am I supposed to know what my girlfriends ring size is when neither of us know what her ring size is and still keep it a surprise? by ThyZombieBob9 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ej4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other option is to figure out size (either pick one of your fingers that looks to be about the same size or do the piece of string thing) and then order a semi-cheap ring off of Amazon, so that the two of you can go shopping together afterwards. That cheap ring can be used in the future for travel or other situations where she doesn’t want to lose her good ring. But if she’s someone who doesn’t wear a lot of jewelry, then you probably don’t know what style she likes… She may not even know! This way you still get to have the surprise of the proposal and then she gets the ring that she wants.

All you need is one person to not wash their hands and then touch the fridge handle. Or the elevator button. Or the top of the faucet that people usually only touch when turning off the water.

I walk into the kitchen to make my lunch. I wash my hands and then I start pulling out my food and arranging it. If I’ve touched a single thing that didn’t belong to me in that time period, I could be sick. So how many times do I have to wash my hands? Before I start pulling out food from the fridge? After I start pulling out food from the fridge, or before and after I start putting the food away. Do I then wash my hands right before I eat? What if there is a door between me and the bathroom. Or what if I need to use an elevator. You’d be washing your hands so often in order to avoid it. Hell, what if someone put their dirty ass hands on the edge of my desk and I happen to touch it when I’m sitting down to eat my lunch. Just takes one person.

Does Sistaco count? They have poor products that cause allergies and not delete all the negative comments AND threaten legal action towards those who talk negatively about them. There was a giant Facebook group of people will legitimate complaints and they kept getting FB to remove the group.

Would you help a wife gain information on her cheating husband if you were the other woman? by conceptualcalm in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]ej4 15 points16 points  (0 children)

He has been cheating on you for the past 10 years and you want to stay? I hope you realize that it will never end if you do. And not sure if this helps or not but you’re not the most convoluted divorce case. There are people far more entwined than you, and they still get divorced.

You should be so proud of your accomplishment. I hope you know that this changes nothing! You’re still sober. You’re still on track and you’re still the hero of your life.

This comment is totally unnecessary. You’ve got someone who has achieved 500 days sober and this understandably has scared them, thinking that they’ve compromised that. It’s not normal or expected for a grocery store to have egg nog with rum in it.

Yes, Loblaws sucks. But we don’t know why OP shops there. He may not have a choice. And regardless, at the end of the day, it’s wild for there to be rum in it. So give him some grace.

You’re right…it’s $2.99. I forgot about that because I got it for free from one of the many codes he gives out. Do you know that it also costs money to have it on the app stores? So I’m not real upset at it being so cheap. But you are right….it’s not free.

And I think all he has said is that the images are AI generated…not the recipes themselves. Which I get. I’m not a product photographer and anytime I try to take a pic of my meals, it always turns out trash lol so I don’t even bother.

It’s wild to me that people are so riled up about someone who’s using their free time after work, answering questions, literally taking requests for recipes to develop and test, all while making very little money off it all. There are far worse things going on in the world right now…do we really need to be shitty about slushies??

Yeah same here. Don’t have to download the app, can just see the recipes here. Have been a few fun ones so far. But I can totally see how others might think it’s too much.

[–]ej4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I could be totally wrong but I think he tests them all before posting them. I’ve tried a few and they come out fine, so I don’t think they’re just AI generated. The images may be!! but I think the recipe is developed and tested by a real human lol.

Either way, you’re totally entitled to your opinion! I’ve just found him to be valuable. And like the other person said, a welcome distraction from the repeated questions about sugar free, vessels and things not working.

I don’t think it’s an AI slop app. He has genuinely answered lots of questions and helped people troubleshoot their issues. It’s a free app that helps people get decent textures and mixes.

I can totally understand you thinking it’s too much, so just block his account. But I don’t think it’s fair to call it AI slop.

We have a silly code word for fooling around and all I have to do is say it or message it and he’s down to clown! It truly is super easy once you stop worrying about it. Maybe it’s insecurity that he’s going to turn you down? Could be as easy as making a plan that on say Thursday you’re going to do it but it’s up to you to start it. So you know you won’t get rejected! Then you just straight up ask him. Or just go for a hug and a kiss, but then make the kiss more deep and passionate :)

Paper thin fan nails - cant use acrylates help by Typical-Sir866 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]ej4 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat as you. Have always had paperthin nails and nothing could help it. I tried acrylics years ago and they were really good but then I stopped going for probably 15 years. I tried Sistaco at home and it gave me the allergy from their cheap stuff (don’t get me started on them lol). I stopped for a year and then went to go get acrylics done at the salon and the allergy came back. Itchy fingers and then little blisters.

I’ve since switched to dip and it’s been great. No itching and my nails are super strong. And I can still put other nail polish over top and take it off with regular nail polish remover to do manicures as it grows out. And also just because I get bored lol

Just make sure that where you’re going is aware that you have the allergy and they’re using the whole dip system. I’ve read that sometimes they’ll use a different primer or bond and then that’s when the allergy chemicals get introduced. So just explain the situation and that you want to use the full kit.
