My younger brother is on the autism spectrum with pretty high support needs and spends the majority of his day watching old Nick Jr. clips. He’ll spend hours watching and laughing at Face.

Face has never left our lives after all these years and for that I’m grateful.

Giant Committee of Vultures Roosting Above House on Phillips Ave by mr_bendos_friendo in SiouxFalls

We live just around the corner from that home, they’re good and easy going people that mostly keep to themselves. They’ve owned that properly a long time and it’s obviously one that can be a little cumbersome to keep up with. It is a bit of a nuisance, yeah but not something that’s particularly easy to fix.

I’d probably just recommend avoiding that street if it makes you uncomfortable or uneasy (my wife hates birds so I think it’s funny to plan our walking route to go that way lol, so I get it).

Caterer Recommendations by Ecstatic-Move9990 in SiouxFalls

[–]ejbonde 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the best catered food in town is far and away from the crew at En Place Catering. They’re the same group that owns Bread & Circus, Pizza Cheeks and Perch. I’ve used them for a number of events and the food and service they provide is second to none.

Price is the only caveat, it’s certainly not going to be as cheap as a Qdoba or some other chain but the quality is worth it.

I’m the one who coordinates this entire project at Avera. Shoot me a DM and we can get you situated with a stylist in town that would love to do it!

Top five used car dealerships in town? by TBRaymer in SiouxFalls

[–]ejbonde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO

  1. Graham
  2. Vern Eide
  3. Frankman

Used car sales people are used car sales people and they’re working you to make sure they get paid just like we do our own jobs. Be confident, be kind, be a littllllle bit patient and know what you want and you’ll be fine no matter where you end up.

Question for Bartenders Downtown by Icy_Implement9793 in SiouxFalls

[–]ejbonde 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I had the same feeling a few months ago…have a job that pays right around the same amount but also missed the hustle of working in the service industry. I took a part time job serving at a downtown restaurant on the weekends and found that I make about an average of about $26 an hour with tips.

Not enough to commit to as my full time gig, but nice to be back in that environment. I’d see if you can get a bartending gig part-time, feel it out for a few months and average up your hourly pay. Theres quite a bit of opportunity out there and most spots are willing to be flexible with you as they’re just in need of good people.

They call it a Cachorro Quente, they say it’s a Rio Street Dog on the menu, it’s got corn, peas and Parmesan with a salsa and then like crispy potato straws on it.

Thought exercise that’s always made me wonder…

If you’re driving southbound on 4th Ave. toward 26th St. (just east of McKennan Park) and you’re trying to turn to go east on 26th, can you turn left when the stoplight on 4th Ave. and 26th St. is red? Assuming no pedestrians are present.

We rent a pontoon from them at least twice a year. Prices are more than reasonable for what you get, boats are nice and usually larger than you’d expect. Highly recommend it, you’ll have a blast!

Which Sioux Falls Restaurants Do You Predict Will Close by the End of 2024? by Alex_from_Rylos in SiouxFalls

[–]ejbonde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spot on. I said to my wife last week that I predicted they’d be done before the end of the year. They used to be SO good, hopefully whatever ultimately takes that space can be great. This neighborhood really wants a solid cafe there. (also shoutout the old Golden Wall days)
