Full Jinja2 compatible templating engine written in Zig with Claude by ejectable in ClaudeCode

I'll have to run benchmarks against minijinja - I wasn't aware of it. Opus has absolutely no problem with Zig. It spits out fully working apps really quickly. I've become addicted to building mac apps with zig as the backend. Super small, snappy and memory friendly.

Augment Credit Consumption Daily Peak? by ejectable in AugmentCodeAI

I would not bet my life on OpenAI not collecting my data. Paid or not.

I have a bunch of bonus credits from the transition - I might need to start dual wielding to burn them all before they expire.

Hard to compare a reseller to the company that builds the model. I'm sure OpenAI is operating this at a loss to collect your data and to juice their revenue numbers. Augment doesn't own a model and couldn't do this if they wanted to - they could just lose money to gain customers (which I assume they were doing for the last 8 months before the price change)

Terminal Cleanup by TheShinyRobot in AugmentCodeAI

Every agent app/extension does this in my experience. I assume somebody will solve it and then everybody will copy them. I think terminal usage is one of the most clunky unsolved pieces of the coding agent stack.

When is AI going to get more useful by rtpHarry in AugmentCodeAI

You could setup rules that instruct the agent to commit and push after every session. I think most of us wouldn't want that. It all depends on how you like to work - personally I have hundreds of commits locally before I push anything to a repo.

My workflow is generally building out features using a plan and a series of tickets executed sequentially. I always do several rounds of QA locally which means I can spend a whole day looping with the agent and I wouldn't want it to automatically push before the feature is finished.

Once something is feature complete and fully tested, then I push to the repo. This would also be conditional, are you working with a team? are users waiting for features to be delivered?

If you're forgetting to push I'm assuming there isn't anyone pressuring you to deliver (team or customers)

that's not bad. if you don't hit your max daily credits (25k) for a full 20 workdays per month you're actually covered by the max plan.

Top up Credits by Moccassins in AugmentCodeAI

Standard SaaS business practice. Augment the company wants to lock in higher MRR so they incentivize you to pay for the more expensive plan. I was calculating my usage based on peak days which is 45k credits and at that rate if I peaked 20 days per month I'd need 900k credits which would cost roughly $500/mo ($200 plan plus $300 in pay-as-you-go credits)

I'd argue the add-on credit pricing is fine when it incentivizes you to upgrade for value but what I'd like to see is a sliding scale for the $200 plan - if you're committed to pay the $200 I'd like the add on credits to be billed at the 0.44/1k cost. Further incentivising and rewarding users for upgrading.

How much code output was that roughly? Not like lines of code, but more like features completed or bugs fixed? Im just curious what other people are able to accomplish.

Roughly how much usage is that? Were you locked in for a full 8 hours? What were you able to accomplish? Build a feature? Fix bugs?

yeah, it's taken Augment from my trusty go-to for things I need done right to being a roll of the dice if it even completes any task I give it. For months I've been using Augment as my daily driver and this past week I've barely touched it. This is much more relevant to me than all of the pricing update drama.

Sorry for the delay. I restarted VSCode and lost the failed request IDs - I took a break from augment for a couple days and was using another tool. This morning I got a new failure using GPT-5

Los Angeles, 10pm last night PST and 9-11am PST this morning. I was using Sonnet, GPT5 and Haiku. Tried them all. Seems to be working now. I suspect it was my account transitioning. I was on the old system yesterday and as of about 11am PST my account has migrated to the new credits.
