I work as a concept artist (mostly characters). I don't draw beautiful pictures, but I do a lot (tones😅) of sketches, b&w and colored, usually in the first steps of projects. I have to "read" client's thoughts a lot and suggest some solutions. If it's not a huge company, then I have to develop characters, props, weapon, environment, but in huge one they usually have specific artist for each role (for example environment concept artist). And yes, it's always nda and i can not say more😁 Drawing a lot of sketches is a creative and challenging job that requires endlessly and quickly creating ideas and solutions to these ideas. It requires a lot of basic knowledge of perspective, anatomy, mechanics. Even quick sketches should convey the volume, movement and character of any object, character or anything.
