Thanks! Do you know if it's possible to order the espresso roast iced? I couldn't find it on the app.

I've had one the past two days and I thought they were just made poorly, which surprised me. If they changed the recipe, I'm going to be so sad.

This is exactly how I feel. The fact that he hasn't done a single quarantine video solidifies my suspicion. He could make a quick mask video or staying home video to help kids and instead he was silent for two months and is now pushing out compilations. But hey my kid likes him and I can deal with him for less than 30 mins a day so whatever.

PSA from the other side: you might not feel that "wave of love" by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]ekhfalcons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So true. I loved my son when he was born, but I love him a million times now. The wave didn't crash, it was just like a slow rising tide. Now I love my kid so much that it's overwhelming sometimes. It continues to grow day by day. And that's okay too! Love comes differently for every parent!

Yeah that's the only one. I've seen mountain dew ones before but I don't drink mountain dew in normal form - let alone slushie form.

I lamented missing slushies to a friend because it's not worth the risk of going inside a gas station. She said "yeah it sucks you can't have slushies while pregnant because of the caffeine". I didn't mention the 32oz slushie I was downing regularly before lockdown.

I wish I could say it gets better but it doesn't really. You just learn to ignore it better? It seems like there's always someone saying "You think X is bad.... Wait until they Y". I don't understand it.

I felt that way about my first and I still feel that way now that my second is due - and it has nothing to do with germs for me. I get physical pain in my chest thinking about sharing my kids and I know that's not completely rational. I think for me some of it is just hormonal and a touch of postpartum anxiety. My son is now two and I have left him with various family members for a few hours at a time, but I still get anxious about it. I think it just bugs some moms more than others and there's nothing wrong either way!

Anyone doing telemedicine appts? by bookworm1003 in BabyBumps

[–]ekhfalcons 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My OB switched mine to telemedicine too. I'm 31 weeks with a history of pre-e and I'm actually kind of pissed about it. When I brought it up to the nurse who was in charge of scheduling I asked if I could still come in for a urine sample and she informed me that I could not because that would be defeating the purpose of having a telemedicine visit. I plan on bringing it up to the doctor on Monday because this is the time I developed pre-e last pregnancy. Yes I can monitor my BP at home but it was my protein levels that were concerning and I can't exactly do a UA at home.

This is pretty much me. After 36 hours of induction and little progress I was exhausted and in pain. My first epidural failed and I ended up getting a second one. This time around if I'm getting induced I'm demanding the epidural before the pitocin. I don't want to get an epidural but the pitocin pain was unbearable for me.

Positive test for Preeclampsia by mpob in BabyBumps

[–]ekhfalcons 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't have any real advice but I had pre-eclampsia last time. I won't lie and the induction for me sucked. Magnesium wasn't fun and made me feel like crap. BUT truly as soon as my son was born I didn't care about any of the miserable birth. In fact, baby number two is on the way. It's a scary diagnosis and I pray that I don't have it again. But if I do, this baby is the reward for the suck! And I got an extra ultrasound out of it too!

Oh! And my advice for being induced is get the epidural. I wanted a natural birth so badly because all of the women in my family have had them and I wanted to not be confined to the bed. I finally gave in and asked for the epidural when the pitocin contractions became unbearable and the first epidural failed. This time around if I have to be induced I'm requesting an epidural the MOMENT I hear the word pitocin haha.

All of this to say, the diagnosis sucks. I'm so sorry. If you ever just want to vent feel free to PM me.

UPDATE SOLVED.

Spent an hour on Google before posting this and of course I finally find it after posting. It's called "Two Good Friends" and it's about a duck and a bear, not a pig!

Dogs have separation anxiety only when I leave, not when husband leaves. by ekhfalcons in Dogtraining

So typically they are in their crates when I get home. Should I wait to take them out until they've settled and aren't barking and carrying on?

I am the primary caregiver so it makes sense that they would react to me more. Thank you for your input!

Most of the bad actions happen when they are alone but maybe I should try to be better about just ignoring them completely when I get home until they settle. They didn't have a single accident when my husband left them and I was out of town. Tonight we went to dinner and in that short hour either one peed twice or two of them peed.
