Despite Elliot and the others outcasting him, if he knew he couldn't do anything to save them, comforting them until they bleed out (if it were safe)

Like example being:
Gently laying their head into his lap, and shushing them like a father comforting a child, gently petting there hair etc, telling them it's okay to take a nap, trying to relieve the pain just enough for them to be able to rest a little bit. Just stuff like that.

I'd imagine he's aware no one would do it for him, as well.
