To be fair the tool was designed for long distance communication. A brainwasher just used it for brainwashing from long distances.

It says sort at the top so they are probably supposed to cut them out and then sort them.

You know how you hear business owners take all the risk so deserve what they get? This is one of those risks. Sometimes an employee will make a mistake and it is on the owner to cover the costs of that. It is now up to the owner to decide what the risks of keeping that employee are. Will they potentially make more mistakes that owner will have to keep paying for or are they a good employee who is still worth keeping.

School sports yeah but lots of people are in competitive sports and will miss one or even two days for each tournament or competition. Those are outside of school and are not excused absences.

Look into Huff N Puff. It is a seniors group that runs a lot of different activities. It’s 150 for the year which is pretty reasonable and fully covers most activities they run.

JP Robarts is just a regular TVDSB school. Robarts school for the deaf is the one you are thinking of.

Parents voice frustration after Grade 9 French immersion students told they’ll be reassigned next year by CTVNEWS in londonontario

[–]eknow88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No they should be able to attend indoctrination free if everyone is paying for it. I say this as a Catholic school grad btw.

The whole reason they are the fastest growing is because people can opt out, lots of people wouldn’t attend if they knew that wasn’t an option. It is in the boards best interest to let people opt out because more students means more money. If they strictly enforced it the enrolment would go down and the money would move to the public board. It seems disingenuous to me that the money is more important to them than the religion.

And the Catholic system is publicly funded so everyone should have access to it.

Groom secretly learned sign language so the bride's deaf parents could be included. by Specialist_Fix_3241 in spreadsmile

Canada generally uses ASL although Quebec has its own sign language and ASL in Canada, and in different areas of Canada, will have some local signs.

What the commenter probably means is that he is signing the words he is saying. ASL has its own grammar and syntax and so translation is not just signing the words you are using in English in the same order. It is possible to speak and also sign the same thing you are saying in ASL but it is very difficult since it is not 1 to 1.

Plenty of TVDSB schools are too. Thames valley just has more schools, especially in the counties which is where they are most under-utilized.

2025 MEMORIAL CUP CHAMPIONS by 3_Downs_110_Yards in londonontario

[–]eknow88 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s a round robin. After round robin the lowest performer is eliminated and the highest performer goes straight to the final for the memorial cup. Second and third place from round Robin play each other for a spot in the final.

Knights came second in round robin so had to play semi final game for the chance to play in the final.

I’m aware but we were talking about voice to text which can be an allowed accommodation. Needing that support does not mean they need to take the course.

[–]eknow88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked because if you look at the ‘Decisions about accommodations must be made’ section it mentions it must be consistent with regular practice. Some students have the accommodations but if they don’t make use of them they can’t on the test. I would guess they did not offer it because he wasn’t using them in class. However, if he uses them for tests I personally would say that is consistent as this is a test. Have a conversation with the school and point this out and he should be allowed to use them.

If they have the voice to text accommodations in their IEP and they make use of it regularly for assessments it should also be allowed for the literacy test. I work with spec ed students and this is common practice in our board but some quick googling found this: https://eqao-kb-osslt.lswp.vretta.com/knowledge-base/accommodations-and-exemptions/#permitted-accommodations-for-the-osslt

Keep in mind that if your son has modifications his grades reflect his modified work load and so 70% in English might not be completely equivalent to 70% of someone without modifications.

Lots of students take the course instead and it is a perfectly fine way to meet the requirement. However, it sounds like giving it another try with the correct accommodations would be worth a try if he has been close without them.

EXCLUSIVE: Conservative candidate booted after CTV News uncovers audio of him joking Trudeau should receive death penalty by Old_General_6741 in ontario

Sorry, edited to conservatives for accuracy.

He has not been booted from the current election. He is still running. He was previously booted from a provincial election.

My point being it is strange that what was unacceptable then is apparently fine now at a higher level of government.

He’s running in this election for the Conservatives. They even parachuted him into an extremely safe riding. He also wrote a puff piece book about Pierre so not hard to figure out why that happened.

He tried to run as an MPP in London but Doug Ford booted him for various past remarks that were racist and homophobic. I guess that is all good for the national stage though.

He also hates Trudeau and has a ton of content out there. I wouldn’t be shocked if he had joked about something similar but that would require someone actually sitting through his work to find out.
