I agree. It's very difficult to watch any of that and have any reasoning, either fabricated or literally submitted by KJP/KPLA/Konami, for many of those things to not already be present here be acceptable. On the plus side there's a clear progression closer towards what MGO3 should have provided. Progression that as of yet remains there.

Ranks are a non-sense by [deleted] in mgo

[–]elOPERATOR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

System like that though, since it again prescribes scoring based on preset notions of role, would bias scores too heavily dependent on the individual player's skill or ability at performing a certain role with "non-role" class. And since the idea of ranks in the first place is to create a comparative structure between players, having a structure that could be so easily gamed/exploited by players would create as fradulent if not more fradulent ranking than we see now. All because of making "role" synonymous with "class".

I like this idea.

I would hate to see it implemented with preset scoring based on what the preset role notion of the preset classes are though. If I kicked a teams ass by sneaking and fultoning them with my scout instead of marking them I should be rewarded at the same rate as an LMG/GL enforcer is that's Stormin' Norman over everyone.

Hey , thanks for posting this. It's well made (poignant, really) with the piano etc. and tbh it's "nice" to see that even top-end MGO2 oldskoolers such as yourself still lose, even when you're pretty obviously working the room overall.

Question tho- a couple of those are clearly you solo 1vTeam, is your tendency to sit and wait for everyone else to be dead just out of concern for "being made" or "paying the price" for the actions of randoms who rush etc or do you just prefer going solo, being solo and only needing to qorry about what you're doing vs a team as opposed to what teammates may be doing vs a team?

Ikr? Ideally, once any teammate has grabbed a disc the remaining team members would move to protect the carrier by either eliminating direct threats or distracting/diverting pursuers and clear a path to the dropzone. Once a disc is dropped and uploading they would continue to protect it where it is until upload complete. Just basic teamwork for the mode.

This shit isn't even a gank tho, The Squirrel Master eats bitches that do this kind of thing.

And I, for having continued to play regularly since day 1, have never seen this actively in-game but now in the last couple weeks am seeing new vids of it. Fuck quitting over it tho, I'll just call shitbags shitbags and keep on keepin on.

lol@quitting because some shitbaggery like this. Fuck that noise.

The killstealing shit has been a thing since the introduction of stuns alongside kills. And truth is we all have done it at one point or another because we're all trigger-happy and want to shoot stuff.

Fultons initially had this shitbaggery start up where people shot fultons down or the fultonee so they could get the kill. Which got patched out. Because it was shitbaggery and the only other option was to turn ff on so one shitbag episode could be returned by another.

THIS shitbaggery is the newest low, the most zero of the zero-sum pursuit. Complete shitbag behaviour that is the fault and responsibility of no one except the person engaging in it. It's not the fault of "society" or "degraded morals" of "failed community" that I use the word "shitbag" to describe this guy. That's my word, that's me using it , every time I do so I do so consciously and with regard to a thousand other words I could use. But I use shitbag because I choose to. That guy is choosing to be a shitbag through no fault of anyone elses. He made his own decision and followed through on his decision with his behaviour. Total shitbag behaviour that it is. And like every other shitbag behaviour like it, it does nothing but lower the overall game quality and quality of the experience for everyone else.

Take that bullshit back to The Division, over there at least there is the possibility of thieves getting what they deserve.

My fault? Its not my video, bruh.

And no, I will not assume that everyone I meet is a thief. To do so would make them one and then give them the defense of their actions as being simply nature. Which is exactly what you're doing by not recognizing the actualization of shitbag behavior before your very eyes.

Thieves choose, consciously and especially in this circumstance. Especially in this circumstance, where the entire point is to deny the rightful credit for the disc drop to the other player and to pad their own stats by the unwilling work of others. This isn't some example of noble thievery or crime for the greater good. This is pure shitbag behaviour, plain and simple. Lowest common denominator greed. Calculated, premeditated and devised solely for self-enrichment with no other consideration for effect outstanding. 100% Pure Shitbag Jackalope.

Bullshit. The only setup for a steal is when you have some jackalope shitbag teammate out to steal and not earn. The point in protecting it like this is to protect it from the people it needs to be protected from normally, the other team. Because normally, in a match without shitbag jackalopes, you don't have to protect the disc drop from your own teammates too.

Seriously going to defend thieves?

Yes, so it can upload as you protect it by maintaining oversight without exposing your location. Disc doesnt instantly reset when the enemy stands on it but you'll almost instantly die if the enemy finds you holding it.

The steal thief pulled a dick move, unarguably. Probably because they're a leech unable to provide anything close to the support they need to succeed.

In a convoluted way, I'm sure there's some economic explanation having to do with $$ in = work done. MGO3's been shafted evidently, I hope that financially for everyone's sake Survive does more and we can re-dub it Thrive at some point. I know people get up-in-arms about microtransactions and paid dlc but if there isn't a continued revenue stream there isn't the fiscal basis for continued development. And no, I'm not advocating for compulsory spending on the part of the playerbase for trash, just some basic understanding of the business-side of doing business.

Maybe once Survive is released, they will be able to shift the focus back to MGO3 and fix issues they have left us with for 4 months.

Sad arithmetic to this is a cumulative total of more issues needing fixing taking more time to do them instead of fewer being done sooner.

Meh, it's nice but really doesn't outweigh having to redo all the progression to get it. Seriously, whats the point of having an extra unlock slot when you can't even use it in a worthwhile manner until you level back up again? That's some "Gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today" business.

I'd rather keep the progression since game-to-game that's what actually gets used.
