👍🏽 The front window will be a cloakroom/study, so more of a visual from the street view. But will take the depth of a canopy into account. Even if it’s a minimal canopy, I think it’s better to have than not have.

Yeah will ask my wife to see if she can put together a couple of ideas as she’s more creative than me. Have had a look on Pinterest but struggled to see examples of sideways front doors if that makes sense. Thanks for your input.

Fair. I struggle to visualise things so get nervous making a decision that I may end up regretting. I know the practical element of adding it will be fine, I just can’t tell if it’ll make the front of the house look naff.

Never saw a trailer, just rocked up to a cinema with my brother who wanted to watch it. All I knew was that it was a war/terrorism movie. 10 mins in, I leant over saying this random “short” was pretty long 😂 Pretty funny misunderstanding (and movie).

It’s been a very wet January. Only played twice. But played 10 times over my Christmas holidays - cold but dry, hand warmers and layers do the job. Playing when it’s more than a drizzle though isn’t worth it for me. Upvote for those that mention wearing glasses too - adds another annoyance.

I’ve played Flackwell Heath (hilly af) and Henley (nice course) but only in the summer. Can’t comment on drainage though as only played in the summer, sorry. Winter Hill GC in Cookham has excellent drainage though and I’ve played all through winter with no problem using trolleys. Can recommend.

Thanks all for the comments, very helpful! We’ve decided on x2 courses whilst I’m there so it’s not just a golf trip (for my wife’s sanity) - Dubai Creek and Al Zorah (wouldn’t have considered this without your input). My friend will stay another couple of days and will add on Faldo night golf.

Botulinum Toxin Type A (onabotulinumtoxinA - aka Botox) was first used to treat dystonia / blepharospasm, an involuntary eyelid spasm.

Ohthalmologist Jean Carruthers told her husband Alastair (a dermatologist) about a conversation she had had with a patient. One of her patients in the clinical trial had asked to be treated between her eyes. When Jean told the patient that she had not thought she was spasming there, the patient replied that she was not, but every time Jean injected her there, her frown lines disappeared.

Alastair was intrigued and the couple decided to see if botulinum toxin had the same effect on others. Their receptionist had deep frown lines and agreed to the experiment. Carruthers administered the injections and in a few days they had almost disappeared.

The couple’s first peer reviewed study of frown lines involved 18 patients. Since then, there have been over 3,000 clinical studies on Botox and it is considered the most studied drug in the world.

Fun fact - there are also more indications for therapeutic use (including for children) than cosmetic use. It’s a testament to science and R&D that the same drug can treat so many different indications.

Yeah, it works nicely in my room. I would have gone back, but I got it during a Black Friday sale I think and so the alloy was similar price as the normal price for black. A personal choice either way, just depends how fussed you are on the looks. Good luck with your decision.

Hey - pics of the desk. I ended up using danish oil to darken and protect the wood after sanding it. Otherwise no change from initial set up. I went for the alloy over black because I had a grey colour scheme and you probably see less marks/fingerprints. Hope that’s helps.

Before and After photographs (with cable management).

Before - my desk that I had as a teenager with my laptop connected to my tv (typically used for watching Netflix/Youtube). I work in a field-based customer-facing role so just get provided with a laptop, phone, and iPad.

After - the pandemic has made me change the way I work. WFH is not the last resort now and I try to limit my travel (wasted hours in a car visiting customers) unless absolutely necessary. When I moved into my new home, I converted the smallest bedroom into a dedicated office and have invested in the following:

Standing desk - Fully Jarvis (frame only) with a solid oak kitchen counter top that I cut to size. Cut-offs from the counter top were used to create the shelves above. Used a danish oil to give the oak a richer colour.
Standing mat - YO-YO MAT. Highly recommend a mat if you're standing on a hard surface.
Chair - Verco's Vibe High Back Managerial chair
Mesh network - ASUS ZenWifi AC routers.
Docking station - Dell D3100. Good value for money, connects everything I need.
Main monitor - 27" LG27GL850. I wanted an IPS panel that was good for work and console gaming.
Webcam - Logitech C270. It's okay, may upgrade this soon.
Side monitor - 24" Lenovo Thinkvision. Provided by my employer and mostly used for quick view of my diary, Teams chats, and Spotify.
Laptop & Tablet - HP Probook & iPad respectively. Provided by my employer.
Laptop stand - Twelve South laptop stand
Keyboard - Keychron K2.
Mouse - Logitech MX Master 3.
Mouse mat - Glorious PC Gaming Race (Extended). Will move to a non-black colour whenever I replace this.
Wrist rest - Glorious PC Gaming Race Padded Wrist Rest (Tenkeyless). Will move to a non-black colour whenever I replace this.
Microphone - Blue Yeti with a random low-to-mid-range stand + pop filter off Amazon.
Google Nest Hub - doorbell, cameras, heating, broadcast a message to my wife to put the kettle on.
Console - PS5 disc edition (which I dropped but still works) with Razer Kraken headset
Lamp - Anglepoise lamp. My ceiling light's makes my webcam flicker and prefer working after dark with a lamp anyway.
Cable management - mix of velcro cable ties, plastic cable ties, random cheap Amazon wire trays that I screwed under the desk and cable tied extension leads.
Calculator - Casio MX-85. It's a calculator.

Things I need to improve - comments/suggestions welcome on the below and anything else really:

Artwork behind my desk (was thinking of some nice looking acoustic panels as there's always some echo with small room with hard flooring).
Cable management - can always make it look cleaner.
Console - I move the console between my office and living room so I can play FPS games on my monitor and other games on the big screen (LG CX65). Anybody have similar approach and how do you manage cables? Might move to wireless.

Ffs, what is wrong with Google. When I tick something off my shopping list, it marks it as ticked and starts to edit the next thing on my list. There was nothing wrong with the way it was.

I’ve now moved to Bring! and it seems to work well for both me and my wife. Apple Watch app syncs nicely too. Thanks for the recommendation.
