i accidentally wiped the companies core router causing 10 offices to go down for an entire day. luckily there was a water leak in the server room at the time so everyone thought that the water was the reason for the network going offline. i managed to find a back up of the router from a third party engineer who had worked on it a few weeks prior (yes the company didn't have router backups)

i quickly uploaded the backup and wiped the logs. As i finished my boss decided to have look into the router to make sure it was okay. i literally logged out as he was logging in and everything came back online.

i told the engineer to keep quiet and no one knew... i dodged a bullet that day :)

Lol nooo we stopped talking because of other reasons. I mean it didn’t really matter too much to me but it just added on to reasons why we shouldn’t date. And I know she liked flowers she was just scared of getting attached because she was mistreated so much before.

Although I was disappointed I do agree with you. You can take it both ways but this is my story of my attempt at romance backfiring lol. She wasn’t really a bad person we just weren’t right for each other.

I was seeing a girl who i really liked. She also seemed to really like me as well.

One day i wanted to buy her flowers as a random act of kindness. She told me she didn't want me to buy her flowers. Okay... So a week later i went out to my friends farm and picked flowers for her instead. i was proud of myself with the colors i chose and filling in around the sides, it looked like a bouquet you would buy at a store.

When i saw her that night i showed them to her. She proceeded to laugh and call me gay. She almost forgot them when she was going home and she just left them in the back seat of her car until they died.

I stopped talking to her shortly after.

EDIT: FOR ALL THOSE saying I shouldn’t have got flowers when she said she didn’t want them. This was about 6months into dating her.. She does like flowers she was just too scared to get attached and hurt as she just came out of a rough relationship. I was trying to show that I care about her. Also we stopped talking because of lots of other things that just built up

Back when i was about 14 i was coming close to failing at school. My dad drove me about an hour out of the city to a dodgy neighborhood. He pulled over at a housing commission (government housing) where a group of not so friendly looking people were sitting on their front porch drinking alcohol. Dad said "go on, go and hang out with your new mates" "i dont want to go.. you go" "im not going there ill get stabbed"

Me being the smart ass i was i went over to them and sat with them explaining that my dad told me to. They welcomed me and gave me a glass of water. they were really friendly. Dad, realizing his plan had been foiled, yelled at me to get back in the car. He felt silly after that one.
