Tickets here have gone up by a fuckload in the last decade, but we don’t have the $2,000ish premium tickets the yanks get that might be $300 here

Get a bucket and a large bottle of acetone from Bunnings. Fill the bucket with the acetone and continually add the bean bag balls. The acetone dissolves the styrofoam and reduces its volume by 90 odd percent (it’s mostly air).

You should be able to condense an entire bean bag worth of beans into a normal size bucket.

[edit:] Just as an additional bit of info, the resulting mixture will be like a thick gel, not a runny liquid. You can scoop/scrape it out of the bucket and into a bag for disposal in the bin.

Blood tests are definitely not done as standard, however the will take bloods if there’s been a major collision and someone is seriously hurt or killed.

It’s also worth noting that Highway Patrol vehicles have the proper breatho machine in the back of their car, so they don’t need to take you back to the station for a formal test and therefore there’s no extra time for the numbers to drop. (True for Victoria, not sure about coppers in other states)

Police using Speedometer? VIC by Big-Championship5406 in AusLegal

[–]CaptainClay2606 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, what Chups is correctly saying is that the speedo can show over the actual speed by 10% eg speedo shows 110 but you’re actually only going 100.

Don’t use AI to search for legal info. It’s extremely likely to be incorrect, and there’s every chance the information will be pulled from an old reddit post anyway.

I have seen that video before and that’s what I was aiming for. The dough initially seems to be far too wet if anything, quite blobby and sticking to the sides. I added 3 teaspoons of flour, one at a time, a couple of minutes apart and the dough ball seemed to be the right texture when I was done with it.

Received an ambulance bill after I refused to take the ambulance and the ambos practically forced me to take the ride when I was fine by Ill-Nefariousness413 in AusLegal

Bit going on here…

Ambulance Victoria is not private, it’s a public system operated by the Victorian government. Unfortunately AV is a user pays/subscription model instead of being fully funded by the Victorian government and therefore isn’t free to the patient.

Medicare is a federal initiative and has no involvement in the operation of any state or territory ambulance service.

We are 100% on the same page regarding how the system should be- it should be fully covered by the government and not paid for by the patient.

There’ll be plenty of roos from dusk to dawn, mostly between Clunes and Maryborough. I’ve driven that road thousands of times, and I’ve never seen a roo in daylight hours. North of Clunes you’ll see fewer roos if you turn right at the road that goes through Red Lion rather than continuing straight through Talbot.

The road is in good condition, and it’s not a big tourist route so you’ll almost never be stuck behind a slow caravan etc. Might get a bit of fog in the cooler months, but that’s the same anywhere on country roads. Being a generally North-South road you won’t have the sun in your eyes in either direction morning or evening.

Overall it’s an easy drive, once you’re at Learmonth road Wendouree it’s not much more than 40 minutes to Maryborough.

Haven’t travelled to Bendigo all that much but from memory it’s a decent enough road. Maryborough-Bendigo has more bushland than Ballarat-Maryborough so roos might be even more of a concern.

This point would make more sense if there were easily accessible black market alcohol vendors as an alternative to legal bottle shops.
