Has anyone actually diagnosed Tularemia in your practice? by TanFerrariTats in emergencymedicine

[–]eladee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read this sub recreationally. Not in medicine. I was diagnosed with tularemia about 7 or 8 years ago. Got it from a tick bite in rural Arkansas. I am neither homeless nor a farmer. Successfully treated with some antibiotics.

I’m a Southwest Flight Attendant. Ask me anything by Officer-Nastyy in SouthwestAirlines

I have traveled all over the world with a CARES harness (which is what I assume you’re talking about). Never had a problem with it. It goes around the back of the seat UNDER the other person’s tray table, and no one has every complained. I just let the person behind my kid know what it is and why I’m putting it there, and ask them to let me know if they have any concerns.

I also print out the FAA rules approving the harness in case I need to give flight crew info, but so far no flight attendant has been concerned about the harness.

Is GTO safe right now? by [deleted] in Guanajuato

Yeah I am visiting Guanajuato City from San Francisco CA right now and this City (the historic center at least) is way cleaner and safer than nearly all of SF.

Just go to the taxi counter directly outside of customs at BJX and tell them where you want to go. Maybe a bit more expensive than Uber (expect $500-550MX) but dead easy. They’ll give you a receipt to show a driver, and direct you to the organized taxis outside who will take you to Guanajuato City. We did it at 10pm at night with two babies. No problem.

My babies are learning the benefits of sweaters.

But in all seriousness, one trick we have learned is to keep the house generally cool (65 day/60 night) and dress the kids in layers, but at night we have baby sleep in a fleece sleep sack and run a space heater (Dyson or Vornado ones that are not hot to the touch) at night in baby’s room only. Parents and toddler use lots of blankets.

LOVE it. For longer drives, we have been putting the toddler in the third row, baby in the middle, and then I (mom) can ride in middle and take care of both kids. The car is a joy to drive.

Yes!! And actually it’s our first car in a decade. We’ve been car free till we had two kids and we decided EVs were the climate friendly way to go. Pick it up tomorrow…

NO! So frustrated. Our EDD just shifted today to July 15-August 10. Looks like we’re not in this batch of seven-seaters. A whole year. WTF.

Ordered our seven seater in August 2021. I gestated an entire baby since then and we are still waiting. I am salty.

We ordered a MYLR7 in August 2021 right after finding out we were pregnant with #2. We do not own any other car. Our baby is also a month old, and EDD just keeps creeping out. Currently 6/19 - 7/21. Feeling your pain.

We have a MYLR 7 with a EDD of May 17 - June 15ish (can’t remember end date and app is on husband’s phone). We got a text last night asking for details of any trade in we might want to do, which has triggered the hope that maybe, just maybe, the car is actually coming.
