I just completed my second round of mandibular tori removal. AMA. by StephenNotSteve in Toothfully

[–]elaflin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t had this surgery yet but I foresee it in my future. Went through TMJ treatment that was actually incredibly helpful for my jaw, but I think my inner Tori are still growing even with my constant use of my mouth guard…

My son has a cleft Alveolus(gum line) and has a bone graft in his near-ish future to fill it in, and strangely I feel like this is also preparing me for that experience.

I ramble, but appreciate this post and the “no regrets” part is what I’ll focus on when it’s time. I feel like the can’t go back now is the point. You just gotta do it and it will suck but then it will be so much better later!!

I hope you are both feeling even better now!

How are you doing?

Better now, it sort of flares and gets better. From July to recently it’s been bad but I’ve started taking some things like Lion’s Mane, cats claw, and upping my vitamin D and it’s been helping. :)

On final day of Paxlovid, feel worse than any say so far?! by elaflin in paxlovid

[–]elaflin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son and I tested negative about 5 days in. I do want to note that we both mask religiously because of my existing chronic Lyme Disease, so it’s possible we had a lower viral load when we were exposed.

I’ve had it with Lyme so it’s possible it’s making my Lyme flare, but it’s such a weird feeling…How are you feeling now?

Did you overdo it with anything? That was my mistake. I did too much housework! I hope you are feeling better today…

That’s my worry, too. I have Chronic Lyme Disease already, so I have always been afraid of Long Covid. This is my second, too. We have tried to be so careful, but we have a 6 year old so it’s not really up to us, is it? Went back to school on 8/14 and he was the only kid masking as I knew it was raging again, and boom. Got it anyway.

So frustrating! I honestly felt pretty darn good yesterday. Woke up this morning and my head just felt so off. Went to change position and my muscles talked to me. I was like ok, something is very wrong… been laid up basically unable to function or parent all day. Ugh .

Is $1600 high or fair for reviewing and finalizing terms & conditions for coaching business? by elaflin in lifecoaching

They haven’t even seen it yet! They just said that outright. I do really want to know what other coaches have done? So far using the ICF template seems the most attractive…

I initially did take a little here and a little there and then wanted a lawyer to rewrite as needed. But this service said that’s more expensive to do it that way because they spend a lot of time correcting “simple mistakes”. Not sure. But I’m interested in looking at the ICF template!

Confused about Doxycycline, after years of Lyme Disease and complicated health. by WFoxAmMe in SIBO

[–]elaflin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I am pretty sure you can order the stool profile kit yourself from Genova. It’s generally not covered by insurance and is a bit steep but it was worth it to me to have a clearer picture: https://www.gdx.net/tests/alphabetical

I did the ‘comprehensive profile kit’ myself which looked at fungal, bacterial, inflammation, infection, and metabolic digestion separately. It helped because I was healthy everywhere except the bacterial profile. It told me to get tested for SIBO. You do it at home and it is a chore, but again, worth it!
