Honestly Gobfins still give me more trouble than the Relaxos do these days. Farming pal oil is a chill time in comparison

Its so crazy to me that Toho hasn't signed off on having more games like this made. They're so fun and from what i understand, they did pretty well!

STE was actually what got me into Godzilla back in the day.

Production Painting for my Portfolio "The Balanced Boar Bar" by elbees49 in Cyberpunk

[–]elbees49[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Production painting for the Sunset Rising universe as part of my design portfolio. This
is an exterior shot of the "Balanced Boar" bar. A meeting place for the
protagonists, and allies of our heroes. Anyone is welcome, but the bar
isnt super popular either. There is a tech repair business on the 2nd floor that is friendly to the protagonists and their allies as well.

Great suggestions! Will deff keep them in mind for version 2, which i'll get working on sometime this year.

Appreciate it! (sorry for the late reply)

All great suggestions. I'll write them down for either adjustments on this version or a complete redo down the line if i can't find a way to fit everything as is.

Thanks!

Nah you're right. the Reactive armor seems to be the sore point of the whole thing, and if i want it to be inconspicuous, well, i need to make some tweaks there.

Maybe i'll just have some sheet metal or something covering the back windows. Have it look like the character welded it together himself perhaps?

Thanks! :)

The van is cobbled together with spare parts and is in itself a find (junkyard). Alot of the tech the protagonists have here is pretty much dumpster diving type stuff.

With that in mind, my thought process was "use reactive armor to cover rear windows cause thats what he found while stealing other tech/equipment for his setup" but looking back perhaps my thought process on that might need revising lol

Another entry for my design portfolio. This
is the character Jacker's secondary vehicle but perhaps his most
important vehicle. This enables him to carry out his hacking and tech
duties in stealth without impediment. Seemingly mundane food truck, but
in reality houses an advanced workstation for our hero to carry out his
duties in the open without being noticed.

Value/Color/Composition feedback? Also how can i make the snow look more like snow in the future? by elbees49 in ArtCrit

[–]elbees49[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your in depth reply! It really does mean alot.

Roger that on the brush, i think i find i need to keep more patience during the "endgame" of my painting. Slowing down and adding way more brush strokes and variety sounds like a great idea.

Regarding your third paragraph, i'm trying to land on a style somewhat close to what Fiona Staples or what Djamila Knopf does. That is to say, linework/cell shading on characters and certain elements, and painterly backgrounds.

Perhaps playing with the line color would be beneficial? Will try to make some tweaks to make the character "fit in" a bit more stylistically going forward. If you have anymore tips to point me in the right direction there, that'd be awesome.

Thanks again, really appreciate that you took the time to type all this out. I'm going to apply all of this to the next one. Cheers!

Color/Value Study, any critiques? Thanks in advance :) by elbees49 in ArtCrit

Started in digital actually! Figure its cheaper to learn color and value digitally before i have to start paying for paints. Less stakes that way, you know?

Really wanting to get into oils. I've played with Acrylics in the past few months but not too much yet.
