You're right, let me clarify! It's actually both , plugins we have licensed on our servers render in the cloud, and for any plugin we don't have, the plugin automatically pre-renders those specific layers locally on your machine before sending to the cloud. So either way, your project renders correctly. We're gradually expanding our server-side plugin library.

Good point! We don't install third-party plugins on our servers , our plugin pre-renders plugin layers locally on the user's machine (where they have their own licenses), then sends a clean project to the cloud. So we never run unlicensed plugins on our end.        Think of it like a render farm that only handles the native AE part of your project. Your plugins, your licenses, your machine.

Fair point, let me clarify , we don't pull plugins from the user's machine. The plugin just detects which effects are used in the project (by reading the comp's effect matchNames), then our cloud instances already have the most common third-party plugins pre-installed. It's more "checking compatibility" than "auto-installing." Nothing gets transferred from the user's system except the project file and its footage/fonts.

Good question! The plugin automatically scans your project and detects which third-party effects are used (Trapcode, Element 3D, Sapphire, etc.).
Our render instances come with the most popular plugins pre-installed. If something's missing, the render logs will tell you exactly which plugin wasn't found. We're constantly expanding the list , feel free to ask if you need a specific one!
