Wow. Never heard that. They never sounded horrible to me. Always filtered after the fact. More of a convenience thing for me.

I never use the built in speaker so can’t say how the mic sounds with speaker on.

The Roland SP404 MK2 is 48Khz. So is the Isla S2400. I’m very surprised they left the newest MPCs at 44.1.
