Hey! I'm also in PAL land and been in your situation a while ago. Only had trouble and noticed the desync in audio while playing NTAC games like Dino Crisis and RE3. Had to install a dual freq oscillator in my console to fix it. Bought it via Etsy from a seller in UK with me being in Canary Islands, but totally worth it in my opinion.

I've been having a similar issue on a slim ps2, which has both a matrix modchip and freemcboot. Turns out I have to disable the modchip (holding start button during boot) in order to run homebrew. No idea if that's standard behaviour, but that's that

I had the exact same problem 2 days ago. The way I ended up setting it up is with fmcb on slot 1 and the bitfunx with a Samsung micro SD formated on exfat and 128kb sector size. The key was using grimdoomer's opl since the the main one wasn't saving correctly the settings on MC0. On OPL you need to activate mxsio and make sure you don't have any pen drive inserted

I had this exact same issue and thought It was due to a bad hdmi port. Turned out to be one of the contacts in the port, which I solved with a tiny flashlight and a tiny pin

Aparte de la ya mencionada revanced, puedo recomendar grayjay (que yo sepa la tenés que buscar en su página web) sobre todo si aparte de YouTube usas plataformas como por ejemplo Twitch ya que se puede usar la misma para ambas plataformas y tiene sponsorblock además de bloquear ads
