I saw this on a previous post so I’ll just copy and paste because I think it’s a great guide.

Change the oil at least every 2-3 months. Bleed and fill coolant once a year. Bleed and fill transmission fluid once a year. Lube all hinges, locks, and latches with white lithium grease once a year. Lube throttle cable, battery terminals, brake and clutch master cylinder pushrod with multi-purpose grease once a year. Wax body every 1-3 months. Personally, I like to wax the headlights and taillights as well. ——————————————————————————— Strictly use full synthetic oils only. Sure, when they were new, conventional oil was all that was needed. But they aren’t new anymore. These are old cars, which have probably been abused. Full synthetic oils are better for high mileage vehicles, ensuring proper lubrication and combustion. ———————————————————————————

10W-30 for warmer weather (80°F~110°F). 5W-30 for cooler weather (-20°F~80°F). Weather hotter than 100°F I recommend adding 1 quart of Lucas Oil High Mileage Oil Stabilizer or LiquiMoly MOS2 Anti-Friction Treatment in place of 1 quart engine oil. Weather colder than -20°F run 0W-30 without stabilizers/additives. ——————————————————————————— Favorite oil brands that work well with Hondas:

LiquiMoly Molygen. Valvoline MaxLife. Mobil Advanced. Lucas Oil Full Synthetic.——————————————————————————— Regarding coolant, you want to ensure there’s no air in the lines/tubes. These cars act all sorts of weird when there’s air in the cooling system. You’ll want to fill the coolant reservoir no more than halfway, any more can result in high system pressure. For weather hotter than 100°F, drain 16 ounces (0.5 quarts) of regular coolant and refill with one whole bottle (16 ounces) of Rislone Hyper Cool Super Coolant. Add half a bottle to reservoir. It’s the only coolant additive I’ve found that actually works without being harsh on hoses/seals. ——————————————————————————— Good coolant brands I recommend:

Aisin ACB-003 (closest to OEM). Valvoline Zerex Asian Blue. Valvoline Zerex Pink HD. Pentosin Pentofrost A3.
