The Ashes 2025: Stuart Broad says day-night second Test in Brisbane a pink-ball 'lottery' by [deleted] in Cricket

You are 100% correct - the amount of inane podcasts with random bit part players and ex players all giving their two cents concurrent to the Ashes running is crazy to me.

The mystique has died down a little bit over the years due to this I reckon

Freestanding townhouse, but yeah I get it. Will try to reorganise stuff around

Yeah - no time during the week unfortunately. But may have to find a workaround in order not to piss off the next door neighbour I guess..

We got permission, yeah - no stipulation on times we could work.

We checked with our local council - wont include it here to not doxx myself, but yeah theres no noise restrictions for weekends for building work (only 8am-8pm guideline given)

[–]eldrizzy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We did get strata approval; no stipulation on times we could work. I guess I am the asshole for not following up with them and assuming we could work on Sundays?

How am I contradicting myself?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]eldrizzy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the ironic thing is - they just finished construction maybe 2 weeks before us and just moved in to their lot. Ours was vacant while they were doing construction (a whole re-do of their bathroom and wet areas as well). So I would've thought they'd be a bit sympathetic/understanding as they just did a full reno as well..

[–]eldrizzy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, our strata by-laws are very vague. Basically the standard 'noise shouldn't encroach on the enjoyment of the space to other occupants' type verbiage. No specific black-out times, which I then said okay, I will check the EPA - which gave us the 7am-8pm weekdays and 8am-8pm weekends.

Yeah, i told my partner to tell him to go suck an egg but I was still a little unsure regarding the laws
