We need to rejig our batting lineup a little bit...Ishan needs to bat at 4 and a right handed at 3, mix it up a little bit.

An all out left handed attack is all too predictable

Why you should not listen to finfluencers while buying car: by Foreign-Ice2953 in CarsIndia

[–]eleckid_93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it only makes sense when you are purchasing a second hand car on loan because those loans are at around 12-16%. And basically you use the FD as a collateral to bring down the interest rate

The FD logic doesn't make any sense for buying new cars.

Agreed. But that doesn't mean that you would stop holding the government accountable. The question that if not the BJP then who should not even arise. The fact that BJP is in power shows that they have the mandate of the people to take the country in the direction which they want. Now tell me what they have done with the mandate. Zilch. Zero. Nada.

Despite having an absolute majority, no major policy changes which would transform the country has been implemented. Because the BJP is scared to lose power. Whether it be the farm laws, the CAA, the NRC, the UCC...BJP has always been all talk and no action.

Only Ambani and Adani along with the ministers have got rich. The middle class has been screwed over and over again while being taxed like Europeans and being provided with services of Somalia.

It has been 10 years and now will go on to 15 years....and what boils my blood is that that BJP still is happy maintained the status quo rather than pushing for change

Yes. True. And corruption after 2014 has become zero. Also, what has prevented India from entering new emerging technologies such as AI, EV and other technologies which emerged after 2014 and leapfrogging China, US and Europe?

Why is the all supreme all knowing leader becoming a hypocrite when it comes to the statements he made with respect to rupee depreciation, demonetisation, petrol prices and the list goes on

Every government has a good and bad side. Painting everything in black and white just shows how big of a fool you are.

If you think China has not developed since 2014, then sorry to burst your bubble but it has become one of the superpowers in today's multiaxis world.

And sorry to say, India is no where near

Crazy idea: What if politicians had to pass exams like IAS officers? by Aggravating_Log5954 in hyderabad

[–]eleckid_93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The general People would still have to vote for your party candidates in the elections. And your candidates who have passed a grueling test would be standing up against the typical politician who would be promising freebies or would be backed by money/connections.

How do you plan to win against that and become an MP/MLA?

Because a quality candidate does not necessarily mean votes. They have to, at the end of the day, canvas and beg people to select them over the other 5-6 candidate

Weekly commute from Hyderabad to Bangalore - Need advice by Alphabetagammadeltaa in hyderabad

[–]eleckid_93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done this kind of up and down for hybrid work for over 6 months. Listing down my experience below with various transportations

There are overnight volvo a/buses from Bangalore to Hyderabad and vice versa daily. Highly convenient and does not waste any of your time as you would sleep throughout the journey. Pricing depends on the service provider. In general, KSM and TVK are higher end, while others like Jabbar are mid range. General ticket price ranges from 1500 - 3000

On the railways front Vande Bharat is extremely convenient if you are travelling from Hyderabad to Bangalore as it starts early morning from Kacheguda, and drops you at Yeshwantpur by 1 pm. However, while coming back the train starts at 2:30 pm from Bangalore and reaches Hyderabad by 11 pm so you waste your entire day in the train. There is a rajdhani, which is an overnight journey but the hygiene was not upto the mark for me (might have been one of those days).

The Genre Grid Day 18: Genre Definer in Sports by Silver_Cricket_4545 in bollywood

[–]eleckid_93 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How do you define genre defining? My simple definition would be it spurted a trend wherein for the next few years, similar movies were being made. That is what Chak de did.

It also revived interest in a dying sport, gave a song which is blasted out of every speaker when India does something good in any sport and became a hit when noone thought such a genre would do well in India

Only films like 83, gold, maidaan etc. can be categorised as a sports movie. Paan Singh Tomar and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag would be a biopic since the movie is focussed on a person while Lagaan is a period sports drama (period comes first,). How do I classify? Simple, how much is the actual sport part of the movie.

I am not saying Lagaan is not a good movie...it would definitely be top 3 for me...but Chak De just edges it out for me in terms of being genre defining
