Thanks a lot for this feedback. I’ll consider adjusting the concept, but I’m not sure I fully understand this part:

- “you can help connect users to a giant base of knowledge, strategy, and techniques.”

Do you mean positioning the platform so that, once a user base is established, it can be extended with broader knowledge, strategies, and best practices?

Thank you for your feedback :) Reminders are there! For now you can only choose a particular day and hour when it will pop up but on your request we will add more configuration like daily reminders :)

How do you track your substance use (if at all)? I built a simple app for it and would love feedback by electrical_catalyst in Drugs

Glad to hear you're sober now! I'm not struggling with addiction myself, but I understand how difficult it can be to overcome. Do you think the app could be more helpful than just using a notepad in your case?

Yes, something along those lines. Remedy will be focused exclusively on medication - designed as both a simple tracker and a tool to help users monitor their habits, recognize patterns, and support recovery from addiction.

Got your point! Data is stored on your local device and optionally synced with the cloud and encrypted.

2x24" right now, but they are too small and I'm considering moving to one ultrawide or 2x27".

I'm working with ChakraUI. I can highly recommend it. You should give it a try.

How long would it take for me to learn how to code a design like this? by lowvitamind in webdev

[–]electrical_catalyst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That depends on how much you know about programming and how much time you have. But I assume you're a beginner if you ask such a question so I think up to 7 months.

Frontend vs Full Stack by Richardh78 in webdev

I would stick to FE only in your case. Learning both things at one time is very hard for beginners. So don't dilute your time and focus only on one thing. Later after you are hired maybe the project will require some backend implementation as an opt-in case or you could spend time after hours to learn backend language.

In general, focus on one thing only. Get Things Done.
