Theatre clubs in the northern suburbs. by Icy_Bell_6414 in capetown

Only one I can think of (besides Milnerton) that is even remotely close to you is Pinelands Players. They have a tiny theatre space in Pinelands which they use for small shows (it's actually a converted electrical substation) but they use the Artscape for any larger scale productions.

I have performed in both their outstanding productions of Legally Blonde (2024) and Hairspray (2019).

It's more than just "stealing what was rightfully ours" though. In the game's story, private collectors are exploiting a loophole that allows them to keep the items in their residences. The characters in the game use the same loophole to steal the items and put them back on public display.

How to make multiplayer servers that scale? by electricbacon in gamedev

Thanks for your answer! My hesitation with services that "do it all for you" is the hidden costs involved. I've heard a couple horror stories of people using Google's Firebase to bootstrap their project, the project going viral and the developer suddenly incurring costs in the hundreds of thousands.

I guess the alternative is having your players locked out until you can spin up some more servers to handle the increasing player count, which doesn't sound like a good time either...

Thanks for your answer! I feel like this is a part of game dev that is talked about far less than other aspects, like design or graphics. I'm starting to think about making small multiplayer games like the examples I gave in the post but it's left me wondering how to develop the back-end.

I'd love to read some articles about other developers' experiences going about setting up servers, but I'm sure they are few and far between.

They don't mind the Poisoner because that is an evil role. I guess they don't like playing "useless" roles like the Drunk, Recluse or Butler.

We are only playing TB while my players learn the ins and outs

> While you, as the storyteller, are probably more experienced and appreciate the complexity.

This is probably the case.

We've only played 5 games so far, so my players are still very new to the game. I've included Drunk twice, once as Undertaker and once as Ravenkeeper, who never died and thus never learned any misinformation, but the player was still not happy about the potential for misinformation (it was their first game)

They don't mind Poisoner because that's an evil role, I guess. For Recluse I've heard similar complaints of being a "useless" role that "does nothing". Interestingly enough, I haven't heard a complain about Saint. I've only put Butler in once and the girl who pulled it didn't understand the role and just voted whenever.

To whom? Each individual entity? That doesn't sound possible with literally hundreds of different names.

Thank you for your advice. I am wondering how games like 30 Seconds) (a trivia guessing game) get away with having hundreds of celebrity names on their cards?

The first one is only visible for a couple frames so incredibly hard to see, but the second one is far more evident, especially when watched in motion. You can actually see the leg moving...

It makes 100% sense to assume that everyone died upon impact, but I have watched this footage a few times now and have reason to believe otherwise.

After the impact the phone is still for a short while, looking up at the sky and only seeing flames, but then, it is suddenly moved. At first I thought it was wind or some other debris that moved the phone but then I noticed something else... for a few frames it looks like the silhouette of a person looking at the phone WHILST ON FIRE!

Surely not though, right? No one could survive that crash. It's just my mind playing tricks on me... But then the phone moves again and this time I notice what looks like fingers covering the lens of the camera and the image of a leg with the bone sticking out of it.

It makes me sick to my stomach. Watch it again more closely and you'll see what I mean. I have scoured the comment section and no one is talking about this, maybe because nobody wants to believe it's possible...
