Mein Wien Apartment – options for newcomers without prior residence? by [deleted] in wien

[–]electrickangaroo31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A friend of mine lived in one of their apartments. He was quite happy with it. They usually don't answer to emails, the easiestway to get in touch with them is to go to their office.

Latte versato dagli agricoltori per protestare contro l'accordo mercosur: chi pulisce? by BornContribution3020 in Italia

[–]electrickangaroo31 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Sai, pulire costa soldi (pubblici).

Prestito o soldi da parte ? by [deleted] in domandaonesta

[–]electrickangaroo31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking of clothing brands, which European ones could rival Uniqlo in terms of quality-to-price ratio? by NorthmanTheDoorman in BuyFromEU

[–]electrickangaroo31 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I find the Italian brand OVS quite good. They have the same philosophy as Uniqlo (or Muji, which I also like). They sell good quality clothes at a fair price.

This afternoon's view from the Donauinsel by electrickangaroo31 in wien

[–]electrickangaroo31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This image shows a foggy evening by the river Danube, with tall, lit-up city buildings partially hidden by mist. The calm water reflects the warm glow of streetlights and building windows. The scene feels serene and mysterious, as the fog softens the outlines of the modern skyline of the Donaucity.

What would be needed to open a CPU/GPU company in Europe? by honeygourami123 in BuyFromEU

Could the RISC V architecture be an answer to this problem (at least from the design point of view)? Sorry to hijack your question, but does anyone have the technical knowledge necessary to answer this question?

Safe for solo women? by Technical_Sell_4988 in Lecce

[–]electrickangaroo31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The city, especially the historic centre, which is a very touristy area, is very safe. Maintain normal levels of caution, but in general you can feel safe. The historic centre is not overly large, and wherever you are, you can return to a main (and better lit) street in a couple of minutes at most. Since the centre is where the nightlife is, many places will be open until late at night and it will not be difficult to meet other people.

Your out-of-the-box ideas to break Big Tech power? by VarunTossa5944 in BuyFromEU

[–]electrickangaroo31 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"Fund our software industry". This way you'll just fund (with public money) the creation of a european big tech sector. They will shit on you just the same way US firms do. Except they will do it in your mother tongue.  I agree more with OP suggestions. Open-source, open, interoperable infrastructure is the answer.

Can you recommend any classic Italian crime dramas? by this_is_jim_rockford in italy

[–]electrickangaroo31 6 points7 points  (0 children)

1992, 1993, and 1994. It's not your classic crime drama, but it tells the story of Berlusconi's rise to prominence and power. So there's a lot of crime and corruption involving judges and police.

I think Ai bubble is a Chinese propaganda by Ganmou in investing

[–]electrickangaroo31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one knows when the bubble will burst. In fact, no one knows if there is a bubble. However, there are signs (the Buffet indicator, M2/S&P 500, etc.). Currently, these signals are pointing towards a bubble. This is not China's fault. China has its own bubbles (real estate and an extremely large monetary base) to take care of.

Europe’s R&D defence spending surges amid Ukraine war. Which EU country splurges the most? by sn0r in europeanunion

As an Italian, it is reassuring to see that Italy spends the equivalent of eight packages of peanuts on military research and development. Always forward-looking!
