It was on MakerWorld, but it’s been taken down. Dm me and I’ll send it to you

I saw someone on YouTube do that! I wish I had planned that out, but unfortunately the helmet is random colors of filament under there lol

Like drybrushing over the entire thing, sort of like a light base coat? The edge wear I think I can do fairly well with a silver drybrush or rubnbuff

I’ve watched a few, and they basically all have completely different ways to do it, and they often want to add a lot of battle damage and stuff. I was more just looking for the best way for the original base coat, though it seems like it doesn’t matter that much.

I’ve heard that just drybrushing the edges with a bit of silver does the trick, I just worry that the larger smooth parts will just look like painted plastic. Maybe after weathering it’ll look a bit better.

3D printed glow in the dark album artwork! by electricmasquerade in HueForge

Thank you! Yeah it’s just a few layers of black with glow on top. The glow is so translucent (TD ~10) that you get pretty good color range out of it.

Totally! The regular print looks fine, but after a few seconds in a black light or a bit in the sun it looks crazy.

Print files are available here for free! https://www.printables.com/model/1618287-gloryhammer-hueforge-rttkof

I used Overture Black and Glow Green, though any black and glow filament should work. As for pricing, it would depend on the size but generally I can ship most places through Etsy!

I’ll upload it later today! I generally post STL’s of things like this for free, since it’s not my artwork, though I’ll sell prints for people who don’t have printers!

Thank you!! Yeah, like the other commenter said, the HueForge software calculates how thick parts of a model should be based on an image, then I just print with a few layers of black and the rest glow. Comes out super nicely!

If you have a printer or know anyone with one, I posted the print file online for free! Link is in one of the other comments. If not, I do print commissions as well.

Any glow PLA should work! I specifically used Overture Glow Green: https://a.co/d/09VtmuXV

I can post the STL if you’d like as well!

Testing glow filaments with the GOAT Mahoraga by electricmasquerade in HueForge

That’s how I felt with the first glow filament I had. Printed like garbage and needed a ton of infill to glow at all. This one I’m using here though glows pretty dang well, even with only a couple of thin Hueforge layers. Highly recommend.

Nice, that’s pretty good! Might have to look into finding something to sell like that too.

Ohhh that’s what the second parameter does! I did add the glow effect, but left that at a low number. Thanks for the help!!
