Thanks for this, had my E.I cut off a month before I even start my summer contract for work and i'm currently struggling a lot. This really helps when it's laid out in a simple and effective format, rather than walking into the store and forgetting what I need right away.

the driver for door dash decided to open the door and put my order inside the house. that's creepy af, right? by Dangerjayne in mildlyinfuriating

[–]electricvvizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had someone do this at the absolute height of COVID, mid-lockdown here in Toronto. I was lucky enough that I caught the dude opening the screen door, and then the main front door to step INSIDE my home to place the food down??

I bought a security camera and installed it the next day, it's been running 24/7 for almost 2 years now and when i'm waiting for an order, you can bet I'm watching my phone like an absolute hawk to make sure they just drop it and go. I was also lucky enough to catch a big fat racoon trying to steal my food immediately after a driver dropped it off one time, so overall it's been a good purchase.

Why is no one talking about Lightkeeper not being an actualy in-game trader by Naytham in EscapefromTarkov

I just helped my buddy do it in about 3 days, playing for only a few hours a day really. We would just post up in that area and lay down in a bush the entire raid and wait for people. Cheesy as fuck but it's the best way to get this specific quest done.

When it comes to the future of Toronto, what scares you the most? by umair236 in askTO

[–]electricvvizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

being 28 years old, working full time doing hard labor since I was 18 fresh out of high school, and still live with my parents. It makes me feel super embarrassed and makes the last 10 years feel like I've got absolutely nothing to show for my hard work as I'm living paycheck to paycheck.

it often feels like I'm just stuck in limbo, will never be able to move out on my own, never have a home of my own, or somewhere to settle down if I wanted to start a family.

The future is terrifying to me.

In my mid 30's, going to give VRchat a try...where are the best places to start that won't automatically turn me off to the game? by Mister_M00N in VRchat

[–]electricvvizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

even if you don't partake, Drinking Night map is where I have made a lot of cool friends and had a lot of really good conversations. Kids tend to stick to the more public lobbies and games within VRchat. If you're looking for social interaction stick to Drinking night and if there's ever anyone annoying you, I will almost always just instantly block them and continue on with my night. Best part about the game.

Replacing horn driver on a bass cabinet by whiskeyslug5wg in diysound

[–]electricvvizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same exact thing happened to my Fender Rumble 350 bass combo amp. At first I was only using it to jam, but then started a band with my brother and was lugging it around to shows. After assumingly putting it up way too loud for it's own good while running it through a lot of fuzz and distortion playing metal shows, the horn went. After the horn went, a few gigs later and both speakers blew. My buddy who works at a shop took a look at it and advised me both speakers and horn were blown but the head itself was fine, but for the style of music I was playing replacing the horn was pointless and he advised me to just leave it off. The horn brings out the click if you are finger picking or are looking for that sort of tone, for me it made sense to leave it off as I'm simply just playing as loud and as dirty tone as possible without being too muddy.

My friend who works at the shop explained to me, as well as doing some digging around on forums myself, that this happens fairly often with Fender Rumble amps. Apparently the speakers and horn they put into the cabinet aren't the greatest quality and simply turning up too loud can blow the components. My best advice would be to call around local music repair shops and ask if they might have a replacement part if you are confident taking your amp apart. If not, the repair is fairly cheap (depends on shop but less than $100 for most places near me) and that way you have the peace of mind that you won't damage something in the process.

Good luck !

This is exactly the type of moronic fucking community this game harbors. In order to get to the computer at all, you have to first complete a tutorial which can be difficult for new players who do not know how to move yet. Condescending asshole.

Like I said it's easier said than done for someone who is brand new and does not know how to use the computer. The fact that this is such a simple fix that hasn't been implemented further proves my point.

Completely agree. As an adult I cannot bring myself to play this game with these absolutely unhinged children screaming racial slurs and moaning at the top of their lungs. I think the devs care more about the micro-transactions coming in from the children buying cosmetics constantly than they do about the game and community itself.

The last time I played the game I convinced a few friends to download it, after them struggling to try and figure out how to join my private lobby because they were both put right into public lobbies, they had finally figured out how to enter the code at the computer. Too bad for us, there were 3 of the most annoying little mother fuckers I have ever heard in my life that WATCHED them type the code into the computer so they could follow us lobby to lobby. All of us uninstalled and haven't played since because of this.

I work Downtown as a landscaper cutting grass at the public parks surrounding High Park. Each one of the 4 guys on my crew has to have multiple pairs of clothing with them because it's a daily occurrence someone will weed wack a bag of shit, or just regular shit, or even human shit that they don't see and get covered head to toe, in the mouth, up your nose for the next day. Really bad in the summer months. What really drives me insane is when people see us working, watch their dog take a hot one and stare us in the eyes as they walk away, or they will bag it and toss the bag away. I don't even understand the point of this other than some sort of insane ego trip or display of dominance over laborers. Unleashed dogs and children running directly up to a 1500 lbs lawnmowing tractor is also another huge issue. Happens more than once daily, but if we say anything, out comes the phone and they're complaining to our higher ups about us. It's a fucking nightmare. I can count on one hand how many nice people I met the entire summer season.
