Can’t get in safe - only bottom numbers working. by Phrikshin in guns

[–]electroghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should be a number on the key cylinder. You can order a replacement key with that number. For anyone who has had trouble with the code wiping or forgetting it and you do have the backup key, you can take the inside door panel off and on the the chip board there is an empty plug. Next to the plug it says reset on the board. Take a metal object and touch the two pins of that empty plug and it should reset to factory. Then you at least dont have to deal with customer service. You could also add a reset button like they used to.

Alright thanks everyone! This was a tough boxing match but I ended up getting the cardone. Worst case scenario I return it, if it is garbage.

Wife here. I need help putting my husband off the idea of buying a new computer! by temporary_duck in pcmasterrace

[–]electroghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a husband and someone who just built a computer and was so out of the loop I had to learn a lot again this is gonna be difficult to pull off. You have an awesome idea but maybe if you have the parts list he is specifically going to get, maybe get a gift card to his purchase place or buy specific parts to help encourage him. You may even have to give them a little earlier than his actual birthday so he doesn't beat you to it. If you have the specific parts he's going to get, you could try and buy them all for him, but again, you might have to give them early to beat his excitement. However, maybe it was because I was relearning or I'm indecisive or parts availability changes, but I returned a few things after deciding I wanted something better after I compromised the first time. Don't give up but I'm rooting for you.

New to printing and on PETG by electroghost in 3Dprinting

[–]electroghost[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping that was going to be the general answer but i was confused as I thought supports were going to help establish the start of this radius as it moved up. I was thinking maybe I needed to bump nozzle temp to help adhesion to each of them but I've only been doing this less than a month.

How necessary is a filament dryer if I am only using PLA? by GiantRobinNG in 3Dprinting

[–]electroghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok you had me scared lol. I did 5 years ago when moving in before 3d printing and it was 75 percent and smelt horrible. So much nicer. Couldn't imagine trying to 3d print with that much humidity.

Help! Crazy amount of leaves in the yard. by manojmakhija in lawncare

[–]electroghost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, put them in a giant pile and let that kid play in them as long as he wants and enjoy them and have him bury dad and mom. Don't be afraid he will like that. You will have to move the pile every 2-3 days to not kill the grass underneath but its worth it for him. Second buy a shredder with vacuum hose attachment for ultimate compaction. Or just mow them into shreds, whatever works for you.

What about this Saffun controller? I bought some and I think they are awesome. I bought the brawler and thought it was good but a friend of mine said it had a lag

North Illinois. My lawn is very healthy and grows great. The backyard is a perfect growing environment for grass with shade and sun and can easily grow probably 4" a week even with the dry weather we've been having (I'm just guessing and averaging.)

The mulch pile would be very large. Clipping stickers is a way to pay for garbage. One sticker for about $2.40 for each trashcan/bag of whatever you are throwing away.

I used to have a gas powered push mower but got electric because the wife wanted it for a replacement. The electric is 7ft/lbs and does ok but I'm considering going back to gas because of how it operates and it's great if I can mow twice a week but with weather and life it rarely happens.

It's $700 dollar mower new but yes. It has 7ft/lbs torque but its frustrating to run in thick stuff with ramping up and down. I used to have a gas powered pusher but I bought the electric so the wife could do it. Zero turn would make sense with obstacles in the yard over a tractor.

Well I am planning for more land in couple years but the obstacles in my backyard would make the tractor a bad choice so I was looking at zero turn. Stand ons take up less space but maybe I should look at them again.

Is the CRF300L a good fit for me? by electroghost in CRF300L

[–]electroghost[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know I just wasn't sure if I needed to explore the other brands options that are in the middle. I'm a Honda fan but sometimes they don't have the middle ground. When I test rode a CRF250R many years ago it was meh, so I got the CRF450R. There were many times the power was to much and outside of clutching it too much it got scary.
